Interesting. Someone else brought this up, but here is an explaination of how taxation of virtual money and assests became something to talk about:

Everything that's a part of Layonara belongs to Dan Scott, and he's LOSING money on this venture.
That actually brings to mind the idea of making Layonara a Non-Profit Organization. Then all of the money he spends could be a tax write-off.

To quote my favorite character:
"Let's see, nuthin' divided by nuthin', carry the nuthin'..."
Tax me. meh

One more reason I hate MMORPGS to me :)
If theywant taxes in layo, they can pry it off my cold dead hard drives!
Oh yeah there are 3 things certian to a gamers life, taxes, virtual taxes, and death

This landing is gonna get pretty interesting.
Define "interesting".
Oh God, oh God, we're all going to die?

Well as virtual realities become just realities due to things like quantum computing and neural transference, and yet as human nature and society remains woefully lagging behind it's technology, was it any wonder that some bureaucrat who can't even install Windows XP would eventually decide to screw it all up for the rest of us?

"Gee! Sure would be nice if we had some grenades right about now!"

Yea, but think about it this way. Leanthar own's your house, your weapons, everything in your character's inventory. In the strictest of technical senses it's impossible for us to claim actual ownership of any item in the game, if I am not mistaken.
Plus, anyway, who cares? It's NWN. People don't pay attention to us. I'll take fifteen bucks for all of Key's gear. Any takers? Huh? Huh?

I was thinking of e-baying Items in layo, just as a fund raser for L. But now seeing this..

That is in violation of the NWN EULA and muling, which is a bannable offense.
