I am trying to symbolise an internal struggle of my characters choice between Kithairien and Pyrtechon. As such, a battle in the skies seems appropriate, and I need a bird to battle with Kiths Falcon. I was thinking Raven, but am not sure on the character of birds in Layo. Stirge tailed arrows do neg damage, so I assume they are also evil. Would they do?

;) Try Bolts of the Destroyer.
-
that's a type of bird?
-
I'd say a drake. Otherwise a stirge might be godo too.
-
Stirge it is then... Drake v. Falcon would be a slightly silly.
-
I would say, any bird. As long as it's on fire. ;)
-
A fire drake versus a giant eagle wouldn't be that far fetched.
-
Pyrtechon doesn't do birds, he's a dragon after all, so if you want an aerial battle symbolism, a drake would be good.
-
Could Pyrtechon build a house so big, even HE couldn't set it on fire?
-
There was, it's the house that appears as Pyrtechon's icon on the shields of his followers. To avoid being the brunt of many jokes, mostly from Shadon, they painted it burning so his image as a walking engine of destruction could not be tarnished.
Unfortunately, for the sea elves living in that overly large house. A storm spun by Mist blew it down, and Pyrtechon lit the remaining timbers on fire.
Life has a way of working out sometimes

That's a good point... A bit grand for li'l ol' Kerrin though! It is just a two-liner in the midst of a big CDT post. And just to double-check, the eagle doesn't belong to another deity does it?
I realise that Pyrtechon doesn't do living creatures (outside of dragons), so I guess my question should really have been "If Pyrtechon were to use a bird as a small part in his plans for complete destruction, which would he choose?" But thanks for the help.
