Title: Buddhabrot
Post by: OneST8 on January 25, 2007, 03:41:51 PM
a creative twist to the Mandlebrot fractal.

This has got to be one of the most insanely cool things I've ever seen done with a fractal.

This guy took the Mandlebrot fractal, applied the Buddhabrot technique (also mapping it to 4 dimensions) to produce something like an MRI scan of the Buddhabrot. He then made a video clip and threw it up on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ej3dj4x64k). You really just gotta see the video to believe/comprehend it.

Check out the Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhabrot) page for more info and general linkage.

On a slightly related note, every Beatles song is 20 times better when covered by laibach...
