Well, I finally broke down and put together a MySpace page with my wife. It's been kind of fun to re-connect with people this way, and I thought the same might happen with those of you here that I used to have a lot more time to run on quests with. So, those of you that know me, or even those of you that don't, please come visit my page and let me know whatyou think! Who knows, if you're nice, I might even add you as a friend!
Visit our page here (http://myspace.com/burnloungelsk). Hope to see you soon
Lane (Xiao)
PS - The music playing is my wife's father.

*chuckles* Much as MySpace may be the in thing, my datamining course's example scripts were a bit too chilling for me to trust anything to that site. Even Facebook gives me pause these days.
-
Datamining courses example scripts? Could you elaborate a bit on that? I'm intrigued.

My Space? MY SPACE? AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
*runs screaming down the street*

I deleted my myspace almost the second I got out of Highschool. They won't get me back! Never ever!

Not a MySpace fan, never has been, never will be. There are plenty of other ways to sell your soul to the devil.
But I have to say you got a very nice looking family, and your daugther is just the cutest.
And when do we get to see Xiao inside the game again. He needs to make a cameo appearance.
hehe.

Well, I must admit I was always against the idea of creating a MySpace page, as well, since I assumed only teenagers had them (nothing against teenagers; it's just been nearly twenty years since I've been one). However, we started it to network for our new business, but I've found that it has also served to re-connect us with friends we haven't spoken with for a long time, so it has some benefits.
Regarding when Xiao will make his return, the only thing I can say is that I plan on making that happen, someday. I just can't say when. If everyone starts downloading all their music from us, and I become a gazillionnaire, then I'll certainly have more free time for Layo, which is the end goal of it all, isn't it?
I definitely miss playing here, and hope to make Xiao a familiar face to everyone again soon.

I just looked at you guys' profiles, and I find it interesting how we're all these really very different people with regard to our other interests and backgrounds, and yet we all find the same enjoyment from this simple RPG which we play so much.
I'm still not posting my myspace page though :P

Ehh why not :)

I hate myspace with a passion.
I could go into why.. but it puts me in an irritable mood.
-
i don't remember the title of this thread being "who hates myspace" keep it positive, Myspace is a very good tool in reaching friends. mine use it all the time to get ahold of me. I don't get cell phone service in my dorm so it can be tough, it's also an excelent way to find music, i use my all the time to just sit and listen to music.
so if you wanna just flame myspace, hold it to yourself =P.

I have to agree. I had many pre-conceived ideas about MySpace before setting up our page. As you say, it is simply a tool. It all depends on how you wish to use that tool. For us, it has already helped us to maintain a stronger connection with certain friends and family, and makes it easier forus to keep them all abreast of what is going on in our lives. I understand that others have used MySpace with very different agendas, but the service itself should not be judged by their actions.

MySpace sure is a good place to find some interesting music. I don't have a site myself, I simply don't see why I need one, but I don't have anything against it either.
