In ages past :) we had a few RP101 sessions, where a few GMs would explain about RP and have an extensive Q&A session.
I was wondering if there would be interest in reinstating these (and maybe some players could help us out and host one together with a GM).

EdtheKet,
If I may suggest, that GM's randomly pop in with a NPC or a group of them and interact with the people in Hlint and such like. The other night we had a NPC come in and interacted briefly with a Mistite cleric who responded appropriately.
People learn by example. Especially when it comes to dice rolls and how to respond. There are a few people in the community that has pointed things out to me and put me in the right direction and they still do. I won't name them here but they know who they are.
I would be happy to play some of my characters. I know a certain halfling that is eagerly waiting to open her mouth. :p

I would be interested in attending/giving advice/cohosting and learning as well. One can never stop learning (I only recently learned what forced emoting was myself). Any time really that I'm not in school is good for me, Ill answer any and all questions, so sure, sounds great.

I think the idea here is to have an OOC meeting to discus RP related topics right? hehe maybe do some short skits. I'd so host one of these that sounds like fun.
*goes off to make up short scenarios to make PCs act out*
*giggles malevolently*

I'd support it in any way I could. It was a good idea then, and a good idea now. I remember IDii and I used to host a Crafting QnA thing as Dorand and Deliar.
-
I will attend, depending on the timezone, and listen.

Correct!
And nice idea on the short scenarios as examples to act out.
-
I'll be glad to attend in this case too.
-
I would attend to both ask questions and possibly offer advice, and I would be willing to help host one.
Also, I'd be willing to write short "Example scenarios" for a host to use as curriculum for a session.

I'd love to do something liek this. i answer yes to all of the yesses. As liek anythign else, Rp is a skill that can only keep getting better and better, and as i can give advice i would love to recieve advice too. You can never be too good at rping =D.

Count me in, I've a plethora of questions :)
-
You can never hope for more than wanting to learn new things. So yes i will be there.

mememeeeeee

I would like to sit in and listen.. :)
-
sounds fun! I wouldnt mind sitting in and listening too

Heh. I picked the wrong option. I'm interested in all of the above. When and where is all I need to know now.
-
I loved the first session I remember when I was a player. It was very informative and I think it helped a lot of people. Later, as a GM, I myself ran a session. In fact, I think it was the last one run if I recall. A lot of people got quite a bit out of it and I'm sure many people would both enjoy and benefit from another.
-
I marked the "Interested in all the 'Yes' Options". So count me in to help out in any way I can - or just to sit in and listen. :)
-
Where can I sign up? This is the just the thing I've been looking for.
-
I'll gladly answer any questions. :)
-
Stephen? Where do we go when we die?
*grins*
-
Do you want the Layo response, or my actual beliefs? *Chuckles.* This is only the appropriate place for one of those. The morgue. ;)
-
If you're able to make the time slot (whenever it is) it's well worth attending, whether you consider yourself a novice or otherwise :)
-
Have a look at the calendar (http://../calendar/calendar-list.asp) , several events have been posted and you can sign up.
Also, check out this link to the RP Guide to NWN http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12600 this will help and may also raise questions which you can then ask at the session.
Have fun!

I'd love to join, but I work during the hours posted (Ok, so I do have thursday off) but there are people all time zones that would like to join also... can there be a couple off those times also?
-
I'd be happy to assist/learn during the weekend sessions. Weekdays for me are a crap shoot :)

I like the skit idea, it'd be cool :D and yes learning is cool....like Rev says "Education is a sexual disease, it makes you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you have the urge to pass it on." :P
