I'm in Michigan so East coast of central would most likley make teh most sence time zone wise. However it seems teh West coast server by far has the most players on line when ever i check.
so my question with a 3 hr difference in time zone would it hamper things to play on teh west coast server?

They aren't actually west/east coast servers... But the world itself is split into different parts that are on different servers.
West is the server to start on.
-
Each server is divided up by level, not by player times such as EQ was. Each server represents a continent (Western, Central, Eastern part of the world).
West is from level 1 to level 10 generally, with some higher level content in some areas. Central is level 10-20, thereabouts; East is level 18+.
These are only rough guidelines but if you get a new character approved to play, you will start on West and stay there for a while. There are a LOT of areas; plenty to explore before you travel to other continents!
If you go to downloads, above, there is a handbook available for perusal. Recommended!

The link (http://thread-view.asp?tid=34258&posts=1#M220900)to what L has to say about level requirements on each server. The beauty with Layonara is that its the level of your character to which server you can go to as a pose to where you live in RL unlike other other worlds. *coughs*World of Warcraft*coughs* *smirks*

well, don't solo. heh. You'll meet people with similar likes and dislikes. I have a char I just created three of four days ago, still level one cause all I like to do is talk. But you can easily get up to level 5 in your first couple a days.
its fun, enjoyable, and your going to be learning how to RP
