We are getting ready to roll out the initial phase (of many over the next few years) of V3. One of the first things we needed to do was update all of the maps to reflect the direction that we are taking Layonara. All maps are now updated and ready for your viewing pleasure.
These maps are likely to change from time to time as we find things that we over looked or as players change the world around them. But for now we think they are pretty much final as the world stands now.

Keep in mind...Many things have changed in the world--just about all locations have name changes in the game world. Thishas happened via the war with Bloodstone and the ensuing dark ages. A lot of changes have occured in the world and they are reflected on the new maps. We will be changing the names in the game world (area name changes) servers once V3 goes live with the initial rollout (very soon).
You will also notice there are kingdoms. A lot of information will be coming foward about these kingdoms as we get the writing completed. In the mean time please understand that Kingdoms do come and go and their borders (boundries) change fairly often--especially as the world stands now.
Enjoy the maps, and start getting used to the new names in the world.
I would like to thank Rasterick for all of his dedicated work on these maps, he has some serious talent with cartography! The amount of time he spent on these is immense and his patience with us has been great. Thank you Pete.
As a Final Note: Nearly all names were changed in game in order to make the Layonara IP (Layonara itself) unique and solely our own. As you have noticed (I am sure) they used to share names with other very popular game worlds--95%+ of those names are now changed to more accuretly reflect Layonara as being a unique game world. So please do not call the areas by their old names, use these new names as it is what should be used in-game and in-character. We needed to get rid of the other names and have done so. As much as possible we tried to roll them out via player and GM changes, but it didn't happen everywhere. We did our best in this major change at keeping things IC/IG--but we could not do it for many changes. We will no longer refer to the old names--as these should have been the correct names all along. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this significant change.

It's going to take a while to get used to the new names, but many of the names are close to what they were or correspond with the old names in some way.

Edit II: How come Syliathon vanished from the map of Voltrex? o.o... i was using it in my chars story.

In the years following the defeat of Bloodstone MILLIONS die due to famine, war, and other unrest brought upon by the darkening of the skies. When that number of people die, villages, towns and sometimes whole cities disappear when there is not a population to support them. This is why some of the names on the old maps do not have a counter point on the new ones.

No, not to all things, the temporary naming of Alindor to Rilara will remain. However, you will nowhere encounter the name Arabel again.

Are new areas going to be inserted to make Mistone even bigger for instance or will the in game map be mostly the same with just different names?

Oh, right! Sorry, Pyyran refuses to call it Alindor until Milara's dead. Habit and such... The Alindor chart is being compiled.
