Title: More Changes: The Permadeath Cutscene

So, I've been hearing about all the trouble these cutscenes can cause on the 10th+ lost SS, and I was wondering two things...

First of all, since we have Soul Mother's Defense, why doesn't the death system check for the SMD feat before triggering the cutscene? It would seem (to my admittedly entirely coding-ignorant brain) that that would be the easiest solution to the dangerous, needless cutscenes on DTs 11, 12, etc.

Secondly... Is the cutscene, even on the last DT, really worth it? It crashes and locks up many players, including myself, the one time I witnessed it (on Regnus' Lost & Found quest, where Mith picked up another Token), forcing them to relog. In many cases, these players' characters die either before the cutscene or after, and are forced to relog in order to not just... Sit around, locked up. This can cause huge issues with death on reentry, from what I've seen, and... Well, general badness.

I may be wrong on a couple of points; if so, please do correct me. I've just never really heard anything terribly positive about the cutscenes, and was wondering (like Harlas in Quill's XP reimbursement thread) whether or not they're even worth leaving in.
