As I stated in the link above (Donate your day thread) here are the results of this drive by the players.
I would like to thank everybody involved in the donations, it his a huge help in the monthly $460+ costs--on average the costs areabout $460 a month.
The amount donated yesterday by 18 people in the community was $615.
The amount donated within the past week (I am assuming it was donations stemming from this drive as I don't normally get donations in this way--but I'm not complaining--hehe) was $280 by 4 people.
So... In the past week we had a total of 22 people donate, for a total of $895, about two months of costs for the server. About 8x more than we normally receive in donations within a months time.

It is really nice to see that so many care about the community and wish to donate their money to keep the server alive. Also I would like to thank everyone on the teams to make the server so enjoyable with all the time they put into working behind the scenes.

Good job, and I encourage people to donate as often as they can... It is worth it, for whatever you can afford.

I think a Donate your Level day Each month or every 3 months regularly might help keep the idea in peoples heads. I dont know if an incentive is reasonable, but I'd offer a 1000Xp/$10 incentive... but I'd donate either way. I dont want this server going down

One thousand experience per ten USD... Sounds like a good idea, but I don't think it would be appropriate for this atmosphere.

I agree here. You shouldn't be able to gain IG advantges by donating, donating should only be done because you like the server.

Don't forget the Terms of Use EULA thing that says Leanthar can't exchange RL money for IG rewards. Bioware would get all kinds of cranky.

If you carefully read the EULA and/or ask WotC, you will notice that it's not even allowed to do that. :)

I never read those EULA... so I wouldn't know what is and isn't allowed... But I'd donate every three months or so my PC levels most definately

Well, the trials and travails of the DLA showed that Bioware doesn't take kindly to EULA violations.. even if they are a spectacular company.
(Also, we'll start setting up for the next DYLD when we get a little closer.)

After the last Donate Your Level Day met with such success this past February, some of us suggested we should hold this fund raising event quarterly. Yeah yeah - time flies when you are having fun, and all that, but three months has gone by and I say:
Let's do this again! :)

I like this idea, very good I would donate alot but running our little old server taped me out of funds :( but on a side note I have some good news, that you may look into if you wish. The server we had we were getting a new host from a player who would host for free, he hosts on a T3 connection and a super server built to host MMRPG's. he rents servers if you wish I can give you his MSN. he is a rather wealth fella and building games, game emulators and such are his hobby. he hosts for $15 a month, and in some cases free.
He is a great fella that I can give you his contact info to if you like, I fully understand if you do not wish to invest time into it. Just thought I would let you know about it if you were intrested in such a option I fully understand the high cost of hosting and the hardships it can put on one person.

@Yllyrryon - Agreed! Though, as I'm entering the ranks of the gainfully employed as of June, I'd prefer it fall after June 15th, myself.

I think 'donate your level' day is a great idea, but for those that don't feel they can afford even that much, there is another way to help this world you have grown to love.
