Title: Some trees are missing their trunk
Post by: Black Cat on February 28, 2007, 12:54:13 PM
I don't if this is a problem on my part (hardware or setup or anything) or a bug.

Some trees (mostly those from V2 areas) are looking weird... It is as if you could see only the bark or part of it but the actual trunk is missing... making for ghostly looking trees.

see them here (http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=541&photoid=10296)

Hmm I just looked in game and they look fine to me. It can either be some sort of graphic problem or it could be that you have an old version of the V2 haks, though the second is unlikely.
What sort of video card do you have?

Video card is: ATI Radeon 9650 with 256 Mo

Playing on a mac G5, with OS X 10.4.8.

Oh yeah mac, I've heard they've had similar problems before. I think its a video card issue. Not sure since its kinda hard to test.

I'm not sure if it's a mac issue or an ATI issue. I have the same problem on my apple laptop, but it also has an ATI card. None of the M$ systems I run have it, but they all have nvidia cards

Though something must have changed for those trees since V3, as I had no problem in V2.
But don't worry too much about it, you have more important issues to solve before looking into this.

*grins* I knew I should have chosen an Nvidia card when I bought my comp.
