The submission guidelines are missing the 3rd point, namely the one explaining the character's view of favoured weapons/clothes.

Following points 1 and 2 is a brief discussion of points of interest regarding clerics. The first such note is:
When something is listed as "favored" by a deity, it is exactly that, favored, not mandatory. However, deviations from the favored or normal practices are the types of things that should be addressed in this new section and given reasonable explanations for the exception.
This is considered point 3?

Yes, it's exactly that!
That point has to be added, regardless whether one's character is or isn't using the "favored thing" by one's deity. In the first case, explaining a little about one's character's thoughts about it, in the second case, explaining why it differs.
For clarification, I believe it should be added that in 99% of the cases, the "thing" is in fact the favored weapon and armor/clothes (and actually also the color choice of the previous).

3. A discussion/explanation with respect to how closely the character follows normal practices of the chosen deity, particularly in regards to the character's choice of weapon, armor, clothing and even colors worn.
