Title: Weird Yet Interesting Questions...
Post by: OneST8 on March 30, 2007, 02:33:51 PM
I got the following in an E-Mail today... no idea how legit it is but I think it's a funny email anyways so enjoy with a pinch of salt!

Quote
Question #1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had eight kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the response for the first one...

Question #2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates. Who would you vote for?

Candidate A:
Associates with crooked politicians and consults with an astrologist. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and rinks eight-to-ten martinis a day.

Candiadte B:
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C:
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would your choice?

Decide first... no peeking... then scroll down for the response...

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Chruchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And by the way... on your answer to the abortion question... if you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Try something new: remember...

Amateurs ... built the ark.
Professionals ... built the Titanic.

And finally, can you imagine working for a company with a little more than 500 employees and the following statistics:
  • 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
  • 7 have been arrested for fraud
  • 19 have been accused of writing bad cheques
  • 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
  • 3 have done time for assault
  • 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
  • 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
  • 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
  • 21 are currently defnedants in lawsuits
  • 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Sorta makes you think eh? hehe

I enjoyed it at least.

Pfft, you can use statistics to prove anything. Forfty-percent of all people know that.

Edit: *splits lip laughing at orth's haiku*

Yes, but as we all know, 73.5% percent of all statistics (+/- 2%) are made up on the spot.

Mmm, word games.

Though, honestly, Hitler was an amazing force of empowerment for Germany - took 'em out of a depression and made them an earth-shaking World Power. A bloody shame what he did with all that possibility.

Oh, and if it counts for anything, I'd have picked Churchill on that one. He seemed normal.

Another reason why I picked Churchill, well..  interesting enough, most alcoholic drinks contain all 13 minerals necessary to sustain human life.. so i don't have a problem with WL drinking in moderation.. brilliant fact eh? lets all drink to that.. LOL

A quarter gallon of whisky every evening is NOT moderation. *Laughs.*

But we already have a WL who drinks, and something like three gallons in the morning, four at lunch, and six in the evening.

His name's Varka. ;)

Or so we are led to believe.

Short people freak me out.

Sadly the statistics of our representative government cannot be contested.  This won't change until our politics evolve out of the us vs. them football team syndrome into a non-party system run entirely by persons of financially detached agenda.  Yes, you heard me right... space mutant tyranny.

Humans cannot be trusted.

hmm... then I would rather suggest a goverment partly run by monkeys and partly run by hamsters. And there should be a queen too she would be an antilope and rule the local rangers.
