I imagine it could muffle it or give it a ringing quality, but your voice would still be your voice unless you disguised it somehow.

I'd imagine that it would change it enough that talking to a casual acquaintance they probably wouldn't recognize it immediately, but if you talk to them long enough they would.

a mask or helm could be magically enchanted to alter the sound of a person's voice, but like darkstorme said, inherently, it really does little more than muffle the voice.

And how would a person understand to approach you and be suspicious, anyhow? Unless they were inherently paranoid, it'd be rare.

in technical  and theoretical sense, a mask does not alter enough the harmonics or tone of a voice to change it. It would muffle it yes, but the harmonics and tonal range of the voice would remain the same, the same as pronunciation and accent.

thank you peanut gallery but i was looking for what the official thoughts were since i already knew what one opinion given was

given that the incident was talking with a near party never been seen in the disguise and that the exact voice you had heard days prior for a few minutes is going to say hey i  have heard that voice two days ago
when everyone was rushing about chasing rodents,

That seems kind of unnecessary. Send a PM or say something in the title if you don't want any discussion on it.

That was not necessary Falonthas and it is happening far too often from you. You are a part of a community and you asked for input, to insult one is wrong and I don't appreciate it.

And no, it would not muffle/change your voice enough to disguise or alter etc. Unless it was magically enhanced to do so.
