Title: Warning: Deadly Goblins
Post by: twidget658 on May 06, 2007, 06:14:17 PM
*written in a rushed and sloppy hand*

The runts in the Wastelands know death magic! They hit a companion and me with back to back scare spells. Scared the both of us to death in a flash! I was not as lucky as my companion.

USE CAUTION when confronting these runts.

 Happy huntin',
 Lance

//The goblin warlord casted two phantasmal killers; one right after the other. This is the goblin on the surface in the camp. Tough way to lose you first SS.

Runts, nothing. The buggers've finally grown some backbone. Good for them. Try letting them alone.

*clears his throat* It is 'leaving' them alone.

*Chuckles.*

It is 'companion and I.' ~P

But the greenstone is so precious! How could any of us possibly leave the goblins alone when they protect the GREENSTONE?!
I kid.
Those goblins -are- nasty. Truth be told, I just hope they leave Hlint Hlint alone. I'm getting involved if they try something funny with my hometown.

//No, "Companion and me" are objects, and thus the pronoun should be in the objective case. "A companion and I hit the goblins," but "the goblins hit a companions and me". Yes, I was an English major.

There's one goblin in particular with a pointy hat who has command of some very powerful magics named Bil, though he can normally be placated with a good rhubarb pie and some schnapps.  Good fellow to have around, really.

Don't make him mad though... or too drunk with a spell handy.

//You're actually quite right on that; I never said Pyyran's grasp of grammar was as good as mine. But I'll wager that the originally posting character's grasp is even less.//

*In the space between Kinai's note and signature...*

Aye, as will I. But they keep to themselves mostly. ~P

//I apologize, I shouldn't have butted in with OOC commentary into an IC posting. I'm shutting up now.

//Actually, Lance has an intelligence of 13. Therefore, he is rather smart for a fighter. However, his wisdom is low which makes him lack common sense. He is a good writer, but has a hard time figuring out where he left his parchment.
