Hello,
In Layo, is Arcane Archer limited to elves and half elves? It fits so well with my character, except for that requirement. She's a Bard/Cleric of Ilsare who uses a long bow pretty much all the time, and the concept fits perfectly, but... she's Aasimar.
Thanks!

Yes, the restriction is still there. Only heroes of elven blood can become Arcane Archers.

Yeah...just like how only dwarves can become Dwarven Defenders.
The nerve of some people! ;)

It's a balacing effort. You have to be a whiney, snotty, long-lived point-ear to become the ultimate super Archer.
However, with your Archer, may I suggest you get 13 Strenght, at least 13 Charisma but way more helps, and the feats Power Attack and Divine Might?
Divine Might, if you're not aware, adds your charisma bonus in divine damage to all attacks, ranged or melee, or even bare-fisted, for a duration equal to your Charisma modifier x 6 seconds.
So, if you had 20 Charisma your bonus of 5 would add 5 Divine damage for 30 seconds. Pretty nifty for an Archer if you ask me.

It's not racism, it's speciesism. Those clumsy humans aren't some sort of round-eared, short-lived, unkempt, smelly elf!
