Say the Toranites were seeking a treasure, a green key perhaps.
They would use the gem as it was meant to be, in a proper and structured order.
Meanwhile the Corathites would rush ahead and argue how to pervert its use at a party.
During the party the biggest Corathite would kill two of the others.
The remaining two would agree his plan to pervert the gem was fullproof.
Their dilemma is...if they ever found it...
For the leader would likely proved wrong and put to the sword,
and so if they got close he would probably kill off the others.
The Toranites might eventually get out of their committee room and actually find it
