Actually, a wand of Electric Jolt would do it. Just takes a bard with a flair for the magical and whimsical to notice that the more power goes into a shock, the higher the frequency of the zap. :) And the higher the note.

What do you think the Perform/Listen/LORE/INT check should be to notice that?
