Title: logging onto server

Okay so I've posted a character, and it was approved a little while back. I've never done this before, so I'm actually pretty well lost.  

I'm confused what to do next though, with regards to the NVN client, in order to start playing. I looked around a little bit, but I can't seem to find detailed instructions. Can someone please point me in the correct direction as to what exactly I have to do next?

Open nwn and click on "multiplayer" You need to type in your bioware login and password.
Click on "join internet game"
Click on"direct connect"
Type west.layonara.com into the first box, and the password into the second box. Hope that helps :-)

yes that makes things a lot clearer, but how do i find out the password?

I don't know if I am officially allowed to (maybe only staff mebers are?), but seeing your PC was indeed approved and the password was not posted in the approval comment.... I'll PM it to you.
Guess better than posting it on the forums (allthough it is to find anyway I think....)

Just a note, the password was included when osx approved it, but when the forums changed over everything without a proper closing tag broke-ish. For every [] there must be a [/] ... I just added the closing tag so it's fine.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I think I'm following everything correctly.
Here were my steps:

I opened up NVNt and went to Multiplayer

I created a Bioware acount because I did not have one

I  then went to join internet game and chose 'dirrect connect'

But for some reason after I type in westserver and the pass word I get this error stating that "my name has been refused by the server"

Just to clarify, did you type  west.layonara.com? Asking because you wrote "after I typed westserver..."

If you typed correctly I am unfortunately not able to help any further.
Only try I would suggest creating a new account with a different name maybe.

Good luck with it anyway, hope one of the team can help you if that doesn't work,

sorry about the ambiguity. Yes, I typed in "west.layonara.com" as the server name, but it did not work.

I was wondering if there is a restriction on the account names or something? Like when I create an account, am a supposed to use a specific account name or can it be anything?

For instance I chose pjh001, can anyone foresee that causing a problem?

As I said.... I cannot.
But try something common like... shadow, ice, frozensoul....heck what ever you like!

Okay, so I create another account, and for whatever reason this new one let me log on without being rejected.

I don't understand... but I'm not going to question it.
