Title: Spell casting levels.

I wasn't sure where to post this but this seems like the best place.
My question is can a magic user cast a spell that they dont have a high anough wis/int/cha for if they have an item that increases the stat used?

e.g. would a level 19 wizard with int 18 be able to cast wierd if they had a ring that gave them +1 int?

No they wont, it is base int without any buffs or equipment

yeah i found out this one the hard way
cause i had khuren with wis enhancements from level 5  so i never paid attention to his spell level till it came time to get 6th level spells and his unenhanced wis is only 15
to get him to 9th level he has to wait till 24th lvl now

Don't forget that the way Layonara applies subraces will not allow you to cast spells higher than your "base" ability.

Falon, I would just go Shifter at that point.

part of his cdt was being so angry with everything around him that he was trying to tap into his primal side
so we will have to see
