I'm looking to purchase an iron longsword of sorts, but the merchants in Port Hampstead seem to never be in. Could anyone perhaps show me some swords?

That depends on if you're buying from a guild or a freelancer, typical prices for a guild forged iron longsword would be some 2000tr, yet the freelancer tend to make them cheaper in order to keep themselves in business. Ask around, there are bound to be some weaponsmiths at Hempstead, lurking around the pool.
