The last four you list are unwise, indeed, to seek.

seeking such for what can you pay

and think wisely before you respond as my blades are forever thirsty of surface incompetance

*written in an odd slashing script*
Clueless,

You are unwise to seek the cant-stype of the fiend-tongues. Such darks hold a greater cost to the bag then just jinx and merts.

If you seek a leafer of cant to be lessened to the primer tongue then I will flip-the-dark for a few mert-bars and copy of the leafer to mark.

Seek the one known as Dur'Thak if you're twigged.

// Just an OOC note for you too mate, be sure that you have  +1 int bonus for each language you want to learn - so you would need a +6 for all the above - I believe a 22 int. I think there might also still be a hard limit set by the layo team as a maximum of 5 learned languages (to a max of 6 total languages if one has a native racial language). Oh, and expect to spend months learning most of the later languages.

There is a reply,

I am a seeker of knowledge, to understand the enemy, one must understand.

//OOC has 22 int

// As a word to the wise, INT for languages must be natural, not as the result of any worn items.  Also, the five-language limit applies.

*written in a flowing elven script*

Why would an elf wish to teach anyone the beautiful musical language of elven to simply have it barbarically returned to them by those not built to speak it?

And since when have elves been your enemies?

I think you simply dislike not knowing what others are saying.....

Ah, forgive me, perhaps I was too un-precise, I meant the evil languages, not your beautiful tongue.

It is indeed beautiful and as such can only be butchered in the mouths of those not of elven descent

I beg that people would please, reply to my notice if only they can help their prospective student.

*Dur'Thak returns some time later to read any replies. Slightly confused, he re-reads his only response thus far. After a quick glance he merely shrugs and  writes a cryptic note in his strange slashing script, seeming slightly more interested than before with the mention of understanding enemies*

The enemy of my enemy is not yet my enemy, yes? Seek me if your worms aren't torqued, primer.

*A short message, poignant,  brief and in sharp neat lettering is written*

I know your measure. Seek not to learn the perfect language. It shall be the death of you. You lack the honour and discipline to know the tongue of the dark elves.  *the symbol of a circle within a circle with radiant waves between them is marked*

If Dark Elven was so perfect, how come they all live in holes and kiss spiders?

"I fear most of the speakers of draconic you will find are not the sort to respond to this sort of advert.

*A short note, written in neat flowing script is left by one of those that bear Dur'Thak's name.*

Dur'Thak,

I was not aware that there were any left speaking the dark tongue (abyssal) in this world since the departure of Ozymandias. If you are interested in teaching another who is similar, leave a note at the One Eyed Harpy. The innkeeper will know who to give it to.

*The note is left unsigned*
