Title: Tumble AC question

I know every 5 points of base tumble skill gives 1 point of dodge AC but the question I had was, "Is that AC affected by the armor check penalty?"  I am sure the tumble skill would be affected as far as avoiding attacks of opportunity but what about the AC bonus.  It occurs to me that since it is only based on the unmodified tumble skill that it might not be affected by heavy armor.  Thanks.

Nope, the tumble AC comes only from raw skill points, not from bonus's like dex or skill bonus's from items. This means that tumble increases everyone's ac. regardless of check penalties for wearing heavy armour. If you are curious, use a program called "smart ogre" to level up a character and test it using full plate bought in game.
