Title: Ranger and Druid rings
Post by: Desicardo on March 05, 2008, 12:14:36 PM
Arcane spell casters have rings of sourcery and wizardry, clerics have rings of divinity, would it be possible to have rings of the woodlands for rangers and druids?  Rings would be made of wood equivilant for each level oak for lvl 1, mahog for 2, yew for 3 granting maybe 1 or 2 spells for each appropriate level.  Other components would be the same as their divinity counterpart.

and it was noted in that thread about wis not giving bonus slots

incorrect for druid at least
you get bonus spell slots for high wis but you lose them if not cast before you shift
shifting melds the rings belts boots amulets or whatever into your form so when you shift back if not already cast those bonus slots are wiped clean

There are rings for Druids that give bonus level 1, 2, 3 spells. They are player made and just like the Rings of Wizadry and Divine. You have to be a druid to make them btw.

In fairness, if Rings of the Woodlands were made for Rangers, Rings of Music or some such would have to be made for Bards.  Instruments just aren't the same.
