just a random question but what languages can a dragon speak of do they just speak telepathically
-
Dragons do not use telepathy. Telepathy is not something you'll find (at least at this juncture) anywhere on Layonara. Dragons have their own language, but also tend to speak many other languages as their great intellect allows.

can they speak dwarven and commen
-
Well... a dragon can speak a lot of languages if they choose to do so, as they are, for the most part, very intelligent and long-lived. It can be generally assumed they speak Draconic and Common, but beyond that, you'd have to ask a dragon, which may prove rather dicey.
If you're talking about Faerie Dragon and Pseudodragon familiars, the former can speak Common and the latter doesn't "speak" but rather purrs, chirps and makes somewhat musical-sounding noises. The D&D Monster Manual says Pseudodragons can "speak" telepathically, but since we don't really have telepathy here, it's more of an empathic link.

Correction, PCs do not use telepathy. It is quite false that it means that it does not exist period. Mind to mind communication exists only on the GM side, however, and used sparingly with (hopefully) great justification.
Forgotten, whether a dragon speaks dwarven and common is entirely dependent on the dragon. All dragons speak Draconic. Beyond that depends on what a dragon should wish to speak, but frankly they seem more likely to speak the language of the races rather than the evolved tradespeak, unless it is one of the prominent dragons that have been watching.
If you are asking because you want to include it in a submission or something, I will have to add that no PC to dragon interaction will fly (so to speak) in a submission. A sighting, perhaps, in the right area (they are coming out of the woodwork it seems), but yeah. Dragons are best just left out of submissions entirely save for the realm of myth and rumor.
(Edit - or Dorg can beat me. Whatever he said...)

Bear in mind that in NWN (and in Layonara), the animals a Druid is limited to as companions are listed here (http://lore.layonara.com/Animal%20Companion). (No Faerie Dragons, I'm afraid.)
