Title: Finally, wisdom tooth gone.....
Post by: DMOE on April 10, 2008, 03:38:37 PM: ...Well to be more accurate.....three of em in a "well while we are in there...."

Other than the slight surprise at discovering the additional removals the procedure went well.

Now I'm simply achy and feeling sorry for myself but really, really looking forward to a few days from now when in theory I will be all better again and can finally not be in daily pain and actually up to playing again!

To be honest, having waited so long for the shattered one to be removed, they could have taken all four and I wouldn't have cared!

Usually when they take out one of a pair, they take out the other too, as there's no contact surface for it anymore.

Sleep well and buy plenty of toothpicks. ;)

I gave up on stopping smoking a week after the tooth shattered and I'd spent two days crying in pain BUT I have a fresh set of patches cued up and ready to restart in a week or so cause darn it I'd done a month so well before the constant pain!

Post by: Chazzler on April 10, 2008, 11:10:50 PM: I am glad to hear that those pesky little achers have gone from your mouth! And judging by the time it took for you to get a time for your surgery, I am also glad they took out the other three as well, saves you from future pains :rolleyes:

Oh, and the cavities left by the teeth take some time, but they grow up and close up in time, maybe 6 months or so. Wonders of the human mouth, eh? :)

I hope to see you back IG after you're feeling better again, and maybe chatting in the #nwn channel of IRC :)
