Title: Trip into the Deep
Post by: Harlas Ravelkione on April 13, 2008, 01:49:08 PM
Kobal will lead a group of adventurers to explore the Deep and hopefully do some mining next Saturday. Preference will be given to dwarves, although it is doubtful that eight dwarves will show up, so others are welcome to try for a spot as well.

See the calendar for time of day: http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=6642&day=2008-4-19

The trip is aimed at those who haven't been there yet and who hunger for mithril or an emerald. :)

Character level should be at least 18. Max. number of players in the party is set to 8. (hopefully one is a cleric and one is a mage, sorcerer or bard)

Shiff will be there to lend his Mithril Blade to the attempts, as well as his humor and sense of style ;)

A good Rogue is a good thing to have. And a minstrel counts as a bard, right? ;)

This is actually a fairly perfect time for me.

Yeah. FoxClocks for the win.

Weekend + Aussie timeframe = Minstrel-y goodness.

Kobal leading a trip to the deep?

Don't go if you're on 9 tokens!

Ark is no dwarf but he's been to the circus and enjoys watching their antics. I'm in!

Sorry, was that insensitive??

Pyyran has backup plans A-Q, like any rogue worth his salt.

Though they don't quite work so well in DMZs. <<; Or if something has a Will save upwards of 30. Or TS, See Invis... You get the idea.

There's worse folk to perm with.

... That's seventeen backup plans. If that ain't enough, he's already in bad trouble.

For those of us that have not been to the deep and only to Miritrix before the last major update. Could we get some directions to Miritrix? I think there is a ship that sails there but I'm not sure.

I see you have your 8 but if Snow White is needed to sing to 7 dwarves I can bring Kat along.  Let me know before I trudge there (and get up a 5am)

It would be great to have Kat! We'll also need someone who knows how to pick a lock I wager...

If more than 8 show up the dice will have to decide though I am afraid.

Looking forward to Saturday! :)

I will change mine to a no.  I didn't see that the party would be limited to 8.  That is 2 am for me but was going to make myself get up to be able to go.  Maybe next time. :)  But thanks for setting this up.  I have never been there and I think there are many that will most likely never get a chance to go to that area because they are not a part of a guild/group that is able to survive.

Sala would love to go, if you still need a cleric.

We/they still need a cleric. We/they will always still need a cleric.

We/they could use 7 clerics...  >.>  Still might not be enough though

Well if Shiff comes we could never have enough clerics :)

Heh, Pyyran's prepared with a bag mostly-full of bandages, and plenty of Heal boosts from his "chirurgeon's kit" (Athus' Touch, Healer's Hug, needle, thread, whisky.)

Not too many have signed up, so I'd recommend that people show up even though they are not dwarves :) . Sign-ups are often not a true picture of the real number of people showing up for an event. So there may be spots open still.

Also, as a clarification I wil add that 'leading a party into the Deep' is not the same as 'ensuring your survival down there and back up again'. It will be dangerous, dificult to find resting places, it will require discipline and for people to recognize their place and role in the party... and it will be thrilling and hopefully a great adenture ;) .

See you there.

//Rats!  I have to leave the house no later than 4 hours after we're due to start, which I fear is not enough time to get back.  I'm sorry!

*Sighs brokenheartedly.* And, when I think to actually drag myself from bed with aid of an alarm, I tap the snooze once, and sleep through the rest.

Next time.

Our mage had to leave just before we hit the mithril. So we turned around and left. Learned a lot though.

I hope there were no sightings of the Soul Wench, as it is, I saw Kobal and some other dwarves on West's player list when the journey was taking place?

And  I miss this kind of high end runs!
