Title: A question for the smart folk.
Post by: Stephen_Zuckerman on April 15, 2008, 08:22:09 AM
Now, we all know two things: Breakfast is a vital meal, and lack of breakfast can brutally slay one's metabolism, if you keep it up... And lack of a single breakfast for one who's used to having it can be a real bear, too. The other thing is that McDonald's burgers are horrible for you.

Which is less healthy... Eating a McDonald's burger for breakfast, or skipping the meal? :)

McDonald's is definitely less healthy.
ye'd be better off picking dandelion leaves in your back yard and eating that! much better off! or just having an apple and a few almonds. ;)

Or a Banana!  Actually, Bananas are the best snack type thing you could eat for a quick breakfast.  They fit in one hand, come with a convenient peel away wrapper, and when your done you just throw it away.

Everyone knows that the best breakfast is a cup of coffee...

Or drop by your local supermarket, instead of McD's, and grab a fresh-baked croissant or similar carbohydrate charge.  Cheaper AND better for you.

Just do what I do, eat breakfast before you go to bed so you're good to go in the morning :)

Of course, when I wake up I have a tendency to eat Dinner . . .

Heh, I had some of the poison-things left over from "Hanging out with the guys" last night. We got thirty for six of us, so there were some left (those guys eat them like mad, and they're still somehow emaciated). I took 'em, as they're cheaper than buying, well, anything (as I didn't pay to begin with).

One was lunch. I skipped breakfast.

Alright - you've lured me into exposing myself
;)
here's is my favorite breakfast - only for the bold at heart!

you need a heavy duty blender for it - 2 cups of water, one apple chopped (including seeds and stem for their nutritional value). Blend it all up into liquid. Add a large handful of greens, such as dandelion, chard, kale, collards, and their stems. Blend to liquid. Add a banana, frozen berries or fruit, and five or so drops of stevia (a natural sweetener). Voila! An incredibly delicious nutritious smoothie with the benefits of raw vegies in it!
or...to make it more creamy - soak a handful of almonds over night to remove their enzyme inhibitors (that make them hard to digest), and peel them in the morning (the almond peels have cyanide in them, but are easy to squeeze off after soaking). Add that to the initial water, maybe with one or two dates or figs - for creamy milk. Then add other fruits and vegies.
yes, i'm a weirdo, and love raw foods!
:)

Another smoothie that is really good- and really really easy to make, not to mention not hard on your blender-

1 whole banana- the riper the better, some soy milk (or cow milk for those of you who drink cow juice) 1 tsp of vanilla, and your choice of frozen fruit.  My preference is blueberries or strawberries, but the berry mix is really good too.  Blend it all up... easy as pie!  well... easier actually because there is no baking involved...

But then, if you're not worried about being healthy, cold leftover pizza and a cup of coffee with hot cocoa mix in it is always good too O.o

Soft boiled eggs cracked into a coffee mug with broken up slivers of bacon mixed in is awesome too!

I likes me my dead animals. And the lactations of other species. Steal that stuff from the animal babies it's meant for. :)

Then kill those babies and eat them. Veal, lamb... Mmm.

Aussie Kids are Weetbix kids. (http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wadeverlah/breakfast/weetbix750.jpg)

Or you could be a happy little vegemite. (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/4/40/180px-Vegemiteontoast_large.jpg)

Vegemite's not all that bad, for all that it gets a bad rap on the 'net. I like it.

I'm going to reply to this into here, though it is a sneak peek at the future and might belong in the MMO forum.

Anyway I couldn't help think about him reading this thread.  I wonder if you folks can figure out whose mind this came from.

Note: This still needs editing/proofing.

The Roudy
The Endless Pits of Strife are littered with thousands of creatures that would not hesitate to end the lives of anyone that steps their way. It is a heartless and dangerous world that to anyone but the strongest or the locals, means automatic death. Yet even in the desolation that permeates the plane, there exists a few inhabitants that present a sense of solace in despair.

Standing at merely 50 centimeters (19.7 inches) in height, a Roudy is a small harmless creature that can be seen wandering the eternal wastes of The Endless Pits of Strife. These round beings have four small pudgy furry legs that balance the spherical formation that conforms the rest of their green tinted furry bodies. They lack eyes, ears or any other features that characterizes other creatures and simply have a small orifice on the lower section of their spherical bodies that absorbs the only food they ever consume. Air.

Wherever a Roudy waddles, it emits a gentle cooing sound that is rumored to be their sole way of terrain perception, they try to get out of the way of any impediment, but mostly they spend endless days against one until they decide to find a way around it. A Roudy has no extremities and thus can't pick any objects that may intercede in its passage.

The true joy of stumbling upon one means normally that the traveler will have a comfortable night. Their bodies are known to flatten out and mold easily to anyone resting against them, making perfect pillows in the middle of the wastes, and to those who might seek the commodity of food, Roudy innards are made of an extremely nutritious quality that can easily feed a large group of people over one full night.

Roudies are not strong or powerful, they can barely keep up with their own weight. Yet for some reason or other they can endure the harsh environments they live in, avoiding the calamities that surround them and living unhindered lives until they happily end up in someone's soup.

Roudies are friendly creatures to any that approach them. They care not for alliances or appearances and will never confront anyone. Their minds are simple and unable to understand complex process and thought, and simply worry with breathing and offering comfort to those in the wastes.
The creature description is similar to that of a headcrab from Half-life, minus the alien's insatiable (parasitic?) need and aggression.

I'm not sure I can name who thought this creature up. Yet, if we could ask questions...
