*materials begin arriving by land and sea. They are offloaded in areas cleared of debris and readied new construction. Soon the frames of at least 50 new brick and wood homes can be seen rising from the ground. In the temporary camps those families with small children and elderly are given preferences for the new shelters by Foundation representatives. It is heartwarming to see several families volunteer to share the homes until all can be housed.**
