"Oh, Abigail, no..."
*For a moment, Argali is dumbstruck.*
"You very much had the kin about you," *she wipes the uncalled tears from her eyes* "even if you werren't the prroperr height." *she grins, and sniffs*
"Zha zhann th'azha l'zi' azna kurkak'ah ar k'a 'aznnth urwa Gurhazq, Azpoakazan urwa k'a Waahathkaatth."
// "We will share much ale together in the Halls of Vorax, Abigail of the Firesteeds." //

*Tears begin to run down Emie's face as she reads the letter.*
"I knew she shouldn't have went.. we should have stopped her..."
*Still in shock she reads the letter again*
"This is from the man that is her father? He won't even stop working long enough to pay his respects to his daughter... just like a typical man.."
*she rips the letter up allowing the pieces to follow to onto the floor of her home and heads in to the forest without being seen for several days*
-
* Lin'da hears about the death of Abi and pays her respect by showing up to guildhall to lay a handfull of flowers. A small letter is attached to them, it says *
Althou, far from agreeable, death is always a sad thing, and should be respected by all, no matter belief and conviction. Rest in piece, daughter of Barion and Sakura.

*Sitting at the Scamp's Mug that evening, Arkolio sits in silence, the din of the boisterous crowd not interrupting his contemplations. He orders an ale, one of many for that evening .. he has long since lost count. Another mug of ale sits atop the bar, near to hand yet untouched. It has been there since evening's start, hours before.
A burly sailor standing nearby, grown bold in his inebriation, eyes the mug, it's continued plenitude too much of a temptation. His hand reaches for the mug ... only to be stopped well short as Arkolio's own hand moves with startling swiftness and surprising strength, grasping the sailor's wrist in a painful grip.*
"That drink is taken ... find yourself another."
*The intoxicated sailor's gaze narrows, apparently weighing his thirst against the promise of pain in Arkolio's cold eyes. Rubbing his wrist, the sailor decides discretion to be the better part of valour and withdraws, muttering all the while.
Arkolio's attention returns to his own ale, the sailor already forgotten. He raises his drink in salute towards the mug of recent contention.*
"Here's to you, Abi."

Steel pauses upon hearing the news. A long pause.

* those that come in to see the body , see a small pot filled with earth and in it a young cherry tree. A small note is placed against it *
To those not knowing ,
This is soil from her village , her mothers last resting-place .
Preparation's are now being made to have Abigail join her .
-
*a note is tagged on barion's private chambers inside the guildhall*
Mister Barion, On behalf of the Rofirein temple you have our condolences with your loss. Know that mister Reus and myself did all we could for your daughter Abigail, but there was nothing we could do.
I know you long enough to know you will drown yourself in your work, but do remember to stop by Abigails body once in a while to be sad. It is okay to be sad in times like these.
I will personally find you as well as soon as i am able to leave the temple and my work there, so you have a friend to talk to or yell at, whatever makes you feel better.
your priestess, Serissa Windword

*wren gets the note, he looks down with sadness for some time, his hand mindlessly touching the cross scar on his right cheek. Then a small smiles come across his face. He goes into a back room of his house and gets some nuggets of a rare metal. Packing those away he goes to the smithy in Krandor. He lays the nuggets out on the table* Can you work these? *he asks the smithy* I can have it done fer ye, what is it ye want made? *Wren grins now and says* A shovel
-
*Tyrian gets the letter, a tear falls one one cheek*
I helped birth the girl, knew her mother well... *stops mid lament*
Oh Barion...
*She steps into the portal for Wayfare to see if he's in the crafthalls*

Sall walks quietly in to Abi's resting place with a sombre Tegan and Trouble, the monkey on his shoulder unusually quiet and still.
For a moment they stand quietly, each of their lips moving in a silent prayer to Folian...before they step forward and lay something before her.
Trouble moves forward quietly, laying an oak branch beside her, leaf's still growing from its tips, despite the fact the branch fell from the tree long ago.
Tegan steps forward, wiping her nose and sniffling as she does. Again her lips move in a silent prayer, and a blue rose is laid out on Abi's chest.
Then Sall steps forward, wiping his eyes hurridely. He smiles softly, and places a flask of pink dye in her hands and nodding slowly.
They stay a few more moments, in silence, before leaving as quietly as they came.*

Upon receiving the note bear rushes to the Orc Bashers guildhall.
He stands by her, holding her hand, silently, eyes closed for hours, talking to no one. Finally he take one red rose and places it on chest, leans over and whispers in her ear, kisses her on the cheek, and somberly walks out of the guildhall.
On his way out he leaves a note.
Barion,
Please let me know when you plan to take Abi to her final resting place. She always said she would one day like to take me to see her mothers grave and I would like to be there when she is placed to rest.

*Upon hearing of her nieces demise (she is dalan's wife after all), several bottles are heard being smashed in the brewery of the scamps mug amidst howls of grief and rage.
Coming out she begins to drown her tears in ale. Everyone giving her a wide berth as any that get close to her are givin a threatening growl warning them to stay away.
"Wat am oi gonna tell poor Dalan? Is earts gonna be broke inta so many pieces een Doran isself wont be able ta fix it."
*later on she visits abi in the orc bashers hall and sets a freshly crafted beer next to her. Pouring a little in the pot with the cherry tree.
"Oi be tinkin dis should grow yer tree noice an strong as yer was wen we be drinkin in loife. Oi knows ye follo da wolf, but oi be sure dat Vorax be moren happy ta set a place fer ye in is alls should ye decide ta pay a visit ta dem. Ye had de dwarf eart in ye affer all."

After recieving confirmation of the event, Lance comes into the guildhall, holding some blue roses, wearing a black ribbon in his blue clothes.
He spend time at the hall where the body is, praying and paying his respects to one of his friends.
*Oh Abi, such spirit " he mutters " But your chaotic ways lead you to this so much to our sadness, We had our differences in the past, and now it's late to ask you forgiveness for my close sight, anyway. it pains me to see you like this. And it pains me to see all the pain that surround your death.
But be sure of this, that so much sadness here only represented the much love you had around your life, May you rest in peace. And find in the afterlife what you didn't found in this life. Rest in peace , dear friend Lady Abigail Firestead"
* he puts the roses with the body *
Lance raises a pray to Toran and moves in search for Sir Barion to give him his condolences,.
-
*A tall shadowy figure enters the orc bashers guild hall. Walking slowly the shadows seemingly moving with him. He comes and stands quietly beside her, looking at her, for a moment. As he leaves, he puts a few berries beside her head and some grubs in a bottle.*
"So you don't get hungry on your way there."
*he then completely vanishes in the shadows*
-
*wren enters the orc bashers shop and asks to be taken to see Abigail, in his hands he holds a cloth wrapped object. He walks up to her body, he does not bow, he does not lower his head. He unwraps the object and lays in on her chest, an adamantium shovel with a mahogany handle. Then he says" When he comes to join you hit him with this *He then raises his head to the sky and howls, he turns and walks out*
-
* Hearing of Abigail's passing, Amanda and Caerwyn come to the Guild Hall to pay their respects to someone they both traveled with and liked. Amanda lays a fresh cut rose next to the potted cherry tree; Caerwyn sends a silent prayer to the Longstrider, asking Him to guide Abi on her final journey. They each spend a few moments alone with Abigail and then depart. *
-
Markus quietly walks into the hall with a blue rose and sets it beside Abi and and with a sigh says a brief prayer. Gonna miss you girl, he gives her shoulder a light squeeze. Looks like the Gods get to enjoy your antics now. He smiles remembering the good times, then slowly turns and walks away.
-
*Lance tears through his room overturning tables and crashing chairs against the wall. He punches the wall several times bloodying his knuckles on both hands.*
Randi wasn't enough! *As he screams looking upwards towards the heavens, shaking his bloody fists.*
*After he regains control and his anger subsides, he heads to the guild hall to pay his last respects.*
-
* A woman dressed in a long white silken dress enters the place to view the body. She is a noble looking elf, very beautiful with long blonde hair. She has a lace shawl draped loosely over her shoulders.
The elf lays a snow white lily carefully on the chest of Abigail and leans down to speak softly into her ear. As she leans forward, her finger gently traces a scar on her own cheek and she whispers...
"Maybe in the next life dear. I will always outlast, outlive, and outplay you. I'll miss you so much."
With that, she straightens her posture, affixes a smile to her face, and leaves the hall. You can almost hear a slight laugh as she mounts a horse and rides away into the city.
-
*Chaynce lingers outside the hall watching people come and go, he does not go in, he paces back and forth*
*he mutters* I really should go find Ranger Bear.
*he mutters a bit more and wanders off, helm on to hide the tear*

Waiting to meet Abigail Jin instead finds the. He reads it howls. A cry of anguish. Why wasn't he told in person he growls to himself. A deep sadness enters him as he recalls Abi's mother and then Abi.
Abi you were a spirit like your mother. Great of passion and full of life. In your young life you touched lives of a thousand people. Like the butterfly who's wings caused the monsoon you created change. What ever you did you did with passion and the mark of greatness.
You roamed the forests as a free creature. A hunter and a wolf. A friend of the Longstrider for ever. You protected your friends with all your heart. You were never afraid to fight a battle for a cause you believed in. Even if you were over matched from the beginning. You challenged the very gods of Layonara and the gods responded.
You will not be forgotten.
I will take your life within the memories of my heart. I will teach the pups of your tale. I will continue your quest.
Till we meet again in the forests of the Prince of Wolves.
Jin pens a note to Barion for the arrangements of the funeral service.
Barion,
With my heart I will be honored to assist in the conduct a service for Abigail Firesteed friend of the Longstrider. The service should be conducted in a place close to her heart. The would near her village would be the ideal place.
May the Longstrider Grace You,
Jin Lun Lee
/////
Jin would really like to be involved in the service. The guild hall is nice but Abi was a creature of the wild and a service in the woods seems appropriate. We will need a GM to help recreate Abi's home village.
Also for those on Abi's CDQ quest we will continue the quest in honour of Abi. At the last episode the quest was timebubbled so it may be possible for Abigal to make a final appearance.
Inny promised to bring back Abi for the final of the quest if she permed. I have it in my logs files. However I am not sure if this can be done. We will need the approval of a senior GM to do this.

i totally agree and i already told a few in char that Abi will be joining her mother in the village she grew up .
There are few minor problems though
A : We will need to find a time that suits most , since Abi mostly played at times i wasn't there that might prove difficult .
B : The village is a secret hidden one and therefor Barion can not and will not just let everybody know were it is .
This is not to try and keep people away , but partially a result of Sa'kura's cdq and my personal use in my cdt :(
Scifi is the one with final word on everything , because even while Abi permed , it still is her char .

//I think this would be a grand idea.
My schedule is pretty open right now. Saturdays anytime after 18:00 gmt would be best. Though i can work most days and times right now. :D
As afar as the village, due to recent events in the thunderpeaks and the villages proximity to them. One could surmise that many villagers would have either tried to escape, or that another way into the valley was opened since the thunderpeaks themselves have changed so dramatically.
I will leave this to you though as I would be happy no matter what you come up with.

*upon entering the Basher store, brunhilde sees the notice...and speaks sadly to herself...
"Ach! Poor lass, oi only met ye a few toimes as oi shopped in ere. Ye was always respectful of de kin an had a cheery smile fer me. Yer dwarfish wasnt dat bad eider, ye had a gud teacher. Oi will miss ye lass."
*She then leaves the basher store and enters the guildhall to pay her respects. Seeing Abi is nearly buried in flowers and small tokens she quietly goes to work and neatly rearranges the flowers so that Abi is surrounded in a lovely halo of flowers, still accessible to all who come to pay their respects. She leaves the red rose on her breast.
She gathers the small tokens and places them near the young cherry tree, as it seemed proper to her after reading Barions note.
"Der, na young lady, na ye friends can see ye agin. May Vorax receive you in is halls as a friend ifn eer ye visit and wateer gods ye be praying ta keep ye safe."
*She then wipes a tear from her eye and heads out to the nearest inn to raise a mug of ale to the young pink haired lass.
-
* Kobal Bluntaxe visits the guildhall to say fare well. As he stands at her body he offers a minute of silence before speaking quiet words meant for no one but Abigail. *
A free spirit ye roamed deh world at yer whim an' w'erevar ye felt needed, offerin' action alongsoide words. Ye did much good an' many folk owe ye deir gratitude, lass. Aldough short, ye lived well.
Rest well, dwarf-friend. Oi pray dat ye will foin' peace an' happyness in deh lands of deh wolf-lord.

Each of the friends of Abigail Firesteed receive a letter inviting them to this service (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2008-6-15&e=7492&c=2).

*Kyle enters Orc Basher's and prays at Abigail's cairn. A lone tear falls as he places a bouquet of pink roses beside her and a small pendant carved with the standard of Ilsare.*
He whispers..."So the love of all of us can go with you Abigail." He steps away and heads for the door.
-
*When everyone's attention seems to be elsewhere...a young man slips over and places a drawing in her hands. The drawing looks like it was started long ago...but was recently finished. A noticible ink stain can be seen on one of the edges*
Cole Pandorn just stares at Abigail...not really believing what he is seeing. When he finally moves...his voice cracks as he pays his respects.
"May the Longstrider watch over on your new journey, Abi."
*Cole pulls up his hood and leaves whistling for Baltor as he leaves Hempstead.*
-
*Q stands out side of the guild hall, watching people walk in and out. He wears a dark cloak and dark hood pulled tightly over his face. He looks to be stands watch in he shadows not moving praying slent prayers.*
-
*Eghaas who is dressed in his tweed suit makes his way into the Orc Bashers hall. As he approaches the peaceful form of Abigail his steps quicken and he bursts into tears his hands gently stroking her hair*
What have you done to yourself? Why did you have to go? Did I not tell you to be careful so many years ago?*he says after carefully taking some crumpled flowers out from his bag he places them gently on Abigail's chest.*
May you rest in peace Abigail, *he says gently kissing her forehead softly...he then brushes his shirt and jacket and makes his way out of the Hall not looking back*

The note finally reaches Dur'Thak. Typical of his nature, he does not read the note for some time, as he continues his research on various topics.
After some time, he rests in his Library, looking over the one piece of mail he's received in ages. To any who could see him, his near constant tail lashing slows to a halt, as if he slowly turned to stone.
Silently he motions for Nix to follow. The two make their way through the house portal and slowly towards Abigail's current resting place.
As Dur'Thak approaches the guild hall, he does not enter. He remains outside, observing Abigail's remains and those who come to pay their respects. He makes no effort to hide his heritage, as his tail can be seen swaying slowy under his cloak.
The always excitable imp, Nix, seems to reflect his masters mood as he perches quietly on his shoulder, occasionally sniffling and mentioning something about "pinky". The two stay there for a long time, like some sort of fiendish guardian. Any who approach Dur to speak or offer comfort only receive a cold, hollow stare.
Dur'Thak remains watching for a very long time.

Found placed under her hands, is a crafted Silver Rose, with a bright red Fire Opal set within the center of the flower. On the largest flower pedal is written:
To a loving young woman, from someone who will miss her smile.

Having been gone on walk about to try to find a new source of mahogany wood, Dalan returns to Fort Vehl. Stopping by the temple for his own business, he hears the news of the daughter of a knight dying. Pushing his way past some novices, he confronts one of the priests of the temple who tells him of the sad news of Abbie's death.
Upon hearing the news, his face drains of all color and a muttered curse is said under his breath. Not saying a word, he turns and stomps out of the temple to the dock. There he dumps a load of what appears to be cut wood into the ocean. Buying a bird from a local vendor, he sends a brief note to Grenna saying only " I know not when I be back, I just heard of her death." Luv Dalan. With that sent he buys a ticket on the first outgoing vessal he can find to "who knows where."
