At least he got to send an email to somebody on the development team. Had Mr. Gates been a real customer, he would have been told to call the 1-900 hotline number for 4 dollars a minute and be put on hold for 2 hours before getting some call center in india who tells him to reboot windows, and to do a full wipe and reinstall.
And people seriously wonder why 90% of windows users are pirates? He would have been better off searching for his media program with bit torrent and hacking the registry like everybody else and their uncle, hahah!
I remember seeing a clip somewhere of Bill trying to do a powerpoint presentation and getting the blue screen crash, right in front of a room full of investors. Being a snakeoil salesman is good business, right up until one catches a cold themselves...
