*Citizens of Vehl, no strangers to sights distasteful and sanguineous, were subjected to a new low this morning. A child's hand, apparently crudely and barbarically hacked off at the wrist, was found nailed to the doors of the Temple of Rofirein. Rumours speak of a tattered parchment clutched in the lifeless fingers ... though this cannot be confirmed as both hand and any note present were removed from sight at first light by attending Knights of the Wyrm. Despite this timely action, tales of the grisly find were awash throughout the docks district within a matter of hours.*
