Description: My character had unloaded her pack from her pack ox, and was it the process of loading stuff into the pack when my network connection dropped out.
When I logged back in, the pack ox materialized momentarily (as per usual). When my character unloaded the pack from her pack ox, I found the pack was now empty.
Somewhere between me disconnecting and logging back in, the the pack ox and pack (and the contents) were destroyed.
Location: Port Hempstead.
