Dave Arneson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Arneson) has passed away (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7994444.stm). Perhaps not as well known as Gary Gygax (http://forums.layonara.com/general-discussion/167692-gary-gygax-has-passed-away.html), he was one of the original pioneers of the roleplaying genre and of Dungeons & Dragons.
Another to whom so many owe a debt of gratitude.
