An interesting change seeing as to how Baraeon used to be NE and now he's CE, although not much of a difference. I love how more detail was put into the deities like specific dates! In accordance to the new details, Alatriel and I were talking and we realized that there should be an apparent Dark Elven calendar, seeing as how the Elven calendar is a bit too "sunshin-ey" Although, all in all, a great update! :D This will make my transition into Baraeon far more interesting! Kudos! :D

Cleric alignments needs adjusting too. Right now they are one step from CE.

ooooh, this part has me excited. Are there new craftable recipes along these lines, or just some already out there I haven't come across yet? The dark silks I've been sewing are more on par with padded armors.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but it does say, 'Ask the Loremaster' how are we supposed to roleplay this out? It seems that these armors are strong enough to be metal, so do we just acquire some metal armor and try to make it look like its made out of spider silk or can we expect a special armor recipe? I personally think it would be neat to have some armor like this and would love to get my hands on some if possible.

No worries about digging up an old thread, it's not that old, and it is a question thread :)
We will not be adding any recipes to NWN-Layonara at this point in time, so there is no actual silk armor in game I believe. (Maybe there's some in the drops, I don't know).
We could perhaps , using the quill system, change the description of a metal armor to have it read silk, and you can of course customize the appearance. I think that's the best we can do considering we won't do the recipes.
Another thought is that we'll only change an item description if a player brings a certain amount of silk (GM would collect).
As the number of Baraeon clerics is extremely small, it wouldn't be much of a burden on our end.

True, you'd still have an Armor Check Pentalty to Hide and Move Silently, and there's nothing we can do about that as the armor would still be considered a chain/halfplate/plate etc. armor.
On GM quests though, that should be easier to handle as then you can discuss with the GM.
For regular gaming without a GM, you'd have the penalties I'm afraid.

There are craftable silk armor recipes in-game, actually. They're not necessarily on the order of metal, but they do exist.

The silk armors do have some interesting qualities as well. Bug a PC tailor IG to have a look at some of them.
