Other correct answers included (according to Wikipedia, which must be right):

• The day Anne Boleyn was beheaded
• The day Marilyn Monroe famously sang Happy Birthday to John F. Kennedy
• Malcom X's, James Gosling's, and Andre the Giant's birthdays
• National Hepatitis Day

... but all those pale in comparison to the REAL cause for celebration!
