Title: Server passwords and playing old characters?

I had two characters (Garwor Brightblade and Francis Lorme) that I started in 2005.  I have been away from the game since then, but have been longing to return.  

I have gotten to the point of logging in and being asked for the Layonara password, which I no longer remember.  So, clearly I need a reminder if possible.  

Secondly, it occurs to me that my characters may no longer be available to me, even if I go get back onto the server.

So, how do I go about getting a password for the west server, I presume, and will my characters still be there, or do I have to reapply?

I'd love to get back . . .

I'm don't think i am allowed to give out the password, but it can be easily found by looking as some of the characters approval threads.  you characters will both still be there, but remember that several decades have passed in the game since 2005, this might not be a big deal for a dwarf but a human would be significantly older (we're talking between 50 and 75 years in those 3 years of real time)

Yeah.. . You know...  you shouldn't really be saying anything about where passwords can be found....  Unless you want to get in trouble...  Just warning yah

No worries. The password's not that big of a secret. Otherwise we'd change it every few months. It's really there just to keep random people searching around for an open server (using gamespy, for instance) from popping into the world without first checking out the forums.

Both character appear in the approved characters list for 2005
 
 Password sent by PM - unless you requested them deleted they should still be in the server vault.  If you requested them removed then they cannot be re-made.
 
 As for playing them - after that hiatus - so much has changed on the server in terms of areas and players I really don't think that pretended to be new will be all that much of a pretense - however yes a large amount of time has passed since thier arrival in Hlint.
