Description: Each time you set up your robe model to a backpack variant, the backpack looks okay.. Until you equip your shield and or weapon and start running, at that point it distorts the backpack into the good ol' twisted ways.
Görmungard has a working backpack variant, which is the one with a bedroll and a backpack and nothing else, no bow etc or a scrollcase etc.
Location: Both West and Central
Verified: Tested with Görmungard (Dwarf, large phenotype), and Chakar (human, normal phenotype).
Reproducable: Seems so, sadly enough.

I was actually wondering if it would be possible to put the sword scabbards on the left hip instead of the right.

Asked that in the past, got a, if you remodel it then sure.

Unfortunately, the introduction of cloaks in the 1.68 patch for NWN had a knock on effect for robes. Why this causes the different pieces of equipment on the backpack to appear at odd orientations for the different races, I have been unable to fathom.
There appears to be some problem for robe models with the "orientation" directive for the different races. After much fluffing about finding ways that don't fix this and introduce new problems, I am suspecting the way to address this problem would be to redraw each of the eight pieces of equipment of the backpack at the vertex level so they have the correct orientation for each of the races and genders. However, as this is potentially (8x6x2) 96 redraws it is unlikely to occur (unless it can be scripted).
The attempted fix in [POST=1427272]Version 3.21.4[/POST] moved these robe models to a different supermodel. Unfortunately, more thorough testing would have shown this was not the "complete" solution it first appeared. Apologies for that.

It is.
However, due to the left-leg-forward stance adopted by the character models, there is substantial clipping that may undermine the presence you were hoping to achieve.

Ah, that makes sense... I just figured it would probably be easier for a person to pull a sword out of their left hip scabbard into their right hand than pulling it out of their right with their left, then switching it to their left... but you know what I mean... and, seeing the images... it makes perfect sense on why it's on the right!
