Title: spell weird

I noticed a difference in the description of the spell weird in my spell book from that on Lore.

My spell book says: if the creature makes their save they still take 3d6 damage; only d3 hitdice per caster level are affected; if creature has hd more than caster they are unaffected.

Lore says: creatures making their save take still take 3d6 damage, plus stunned one round, plus 1d4 strength damage; 1 creature per caster level are affected; nothing about creatures with more hd than the caster being unaffected.

Which one is right:)?

As neither meshes with the original spell description, I can't be sure.  This one will have to go to those who are truly in the know - Dorg?
