Title: Craft Weapon skill needed?

Little confused on this and need some clarification.

I thought I read in a post (maybe misunderstood it) that the "Craft" skill points are not needed in Layonara due to the unique crafting system that Layonara has in place.

If I want my PC to be able to make custom bows, arrows, etc (in time)...do i need to put skill points into "Craft Weapon" skill or not?

Nope!  that has nothing to do with our crafting system.  Now, while Craft weapon and Craft Armor will help you customize (meaning make it look different), it is discouraged to put points in because there are items that will help you that can be gotten early on (and may even be given to you by more veteran players).

So no, you do not NEED to, but if you wanted you could, but it would be of very little benefit.

The craft weapon skill doesn't make bows; it is used to customize their appearance however. There are items in game that can raise your craft weapon and armor skills, so it usually not needed to put points into either skill from a mechanical perspective.

thanks for the quick replies and clarification...  Good, now I can max out my "Search" skill for them hidden traps.
