Title: Assistance requested

I was getting skins outside Fort Vehl when I was jumped by a bandit.  Not usually a problem but I was switching from skinning knife to rapier and a spell hit me; I saw a window pop up and my rapier disappeared.

It is no longer in my inventory and wasn't on the ground.  Can a gm help before there is no hope and I'm out 2000 gold?
