//alright guys, I'll start, I hope you all comment. This is for those who went on Tyra's CDQ! But you are welcome to PM me if you feel generous and want to help or get involved...
Tyra sits at the Stormcrest Shack, thinking about some recent troubles. With bandits harassing travelers around an old tower and rumors of undead residing inside, Tyra does not seem to have any idea what to do.
-
She looks around to any of those who have helped her that might be sitting with her...
"So we've got some bandits from a guild in Fort of Kings... A ruined tower that belongs to Lord Guissen which should be torn down at this point... I'm starting to think chasing down the lead from that bandit is a good idea... See what we can learn there cause other then that I have no idea how else to proceed..."
-
Nokka snorts and quaffs ale.
Reckon as long as 's foightin' Oi'm down. Toired'a talkin' an' 'em bandits're roight rude killin' 'em people wha' couldn' pay 'em. 'S nay roight.
-
Still decked out in curious grey robes, Steel pokes a stick at the fire.
"I'm with the dwarf. You've got bandits, and you've got undead. Pick one, and we'll do what we do best. If you need a little divine aid with the undead, I can get you some."
-
Tyra takes a whetstone from a pouch on her belt and starts to hone the blade of her naginata, in the processes scrapping off a strange reconstituting murky residue off the blade, though she seems not to pay any attention to it.
"The Undead can wait... as they haven't left the tower as far as I know, -and- haven't caused trouble... yet... Besides, like every other undead haven I've found, smashing skulls never seems to accomplish anything, and if Guissen wants them there we can be sure there is a Corathite lurking around just waiting to put them back together."
She examines her blades, and seeming content with the sharpness she returns it to the scabbard hidden upside-down across her back, under the long black coat she now wears over her usual black leathers.
"No, I think we need to follow the Bandit lead and hope something can be learned there. I still have the guild amulet I took from that woman I grabbed, so I am hoping I can use it to get on the inside... If only enough to listen. But we'll see what happens... I know Commander Creekskipper wants to handle the bandits, but I still don't know if that will get done what I want... which is to seize that tower... but I will concede that for the moment... I have to get my head on straight. I was considering letting Pallena be hunted by that nut of an elf... gonna have to do something about him if I get more involved with this crooked kingdom..."
-
"I don't suspect the destruction of the undead will directly solve any of your tower problems, but it may be that there is something inside that tower which will in fact give you some answers. If the undead aren't there to guard something, it could be that whatever's in there created them. And since squelching undead is the least likely to get yourself incarcerated, is the most straightforward, and will likely take the least amount of time, I thought it might be a good place to start. Whether or not the undead have anything to do with the robbers."

*Jennara carefully cleans her fingernails, not looking at anyone as she speaks.* Do you find it unusual that someone who dislikes the law makes use of such secure contracts that lead to dismissals at trial? Do you think that is incidental? The lord may dislike the law, but that does not mean he will not use it to his own ends. If there is action against his property, he may be more than willing to bring the law to bear, and would likely be amused at the irony. *She narrows her eyes a bit.* I would not be surprised if he hinted at the undead being guardians to provoke an attempt at entry so he could use the law to remove an irritation. *She glances at Tyra a moment before looking back to her nails.*
Following the bandit lead could be more productive to your goals than you think. Why would the guild be hired to watch the tower? Were they hired by Lord Guissen, as was suggested, for some unknown purpose? Would such evidence not be useful against him? Were they hired by a rival of Lord Guissen? That... could be useful, but debasing oneself and serving the unscrupulous for a pile of stones seems rather trivial and petty. *She looks Tyra straight in the eyes.* You are better than that. *She nods once to punctuate, then finishes cleaning her nails.* If you let your desire dominate your decisions, you are no better than anyone else in this "crooked kingdom."
-
"Well then..." she pulls her gloves tighter on her hand, and buttons up her trench coat, "Anyone have any useful information about the Fort of Kings?"
-
*Rumors in Vehl abound that a female bandit who was involved in the toll road blockade in the Dapplegreen Outskirts was found murdered or may have taken her own life in her holding cell last night at the Fort Vehl jail*
-
*Bella continues to skulk around Vehl trying to remain inconspicuous, listening to any rumors of note*
-
//Bump
She looks around, at Jennara first then Steel and any others, and asks again, "Is there anything I should know about Fort of Kings other then it's in Erilyn?"
-
//Just as a note, Pallena got fed up and walked out when it became apparent that the undead weren't being immediately addressed (or planned on), so she is not present for this conversation.
-
Fort of Kings is not in a "crooked kingdom," so you may wish to examine your methods and consider twice before taking action. I have met personally with the king and other nobles, but I know nothing of the criminal groups there.
-
"Know anyone who would know? Any of them Knights of Erilyn? And as for my methods... That'll depend on who I'm dealing with..."
-
// Alright guys, could any of you who would like to come to the finally please post a time and day preference. I would like to figure out when we can finish.
I am good any day after the 11th, preferably at night after 7pm Eastern.
-
//// I can do those weeknights as well, Monday, Thursday, or Friday being best for me since Tuesday and Wednesday are already booked. ////
-
//I should be good whenever those nights, pretty much.
-
I can probably make it on those nights too, so long as they don't start during working hours US-Pacific time.
-
//Another Bump, last one. Anyone who has been involved that would like to be at the finale please post when you are available if you haven't already by this weekend. Plan is currently for something after the 11th of January.
If there is anything else to be discussed IC here, please also feel free to add. I will be available IG on and off as well, in case someone wants to talk to me IG.
-
//Any day is good for me, though preferably with it starting at the same time as the first one, I couldn't make the second as it was at like 3 in the mourning for me (gmt) .
-
//atm, time is the 17th at 10 AM eastern... Though I'm hoping we could do something later that day instead of in the AM. If not, I anticipate going it alone, so thank you for the 'help' thus far.
-
//Okay! Can anyone make it on monday? Any time? Leave a time of day if you can come on Monday. Trying to wrap this up ASAP so it's kinda all short notice for everyone involved. Get back to me, or as before, I'm prolly gonna go it alone. Thank you to those who came to previous parts, even if I had you standing around a lot and chasing after me while I messed around and got Tyra in trouble :)
-
//// anytime after the meeting with Big Red should do for me. ////
-
//Anybody else?
-
// Maybe in the evening EST.
-
//Well, looks like tonight at 8 pm, EST, we should be finishing up. Meet in Fort of Kings :)
However, this isn't 100% as of this post, so please forgive me if things end up not happening.
