With as much reality in this world, it seems (to me at least) that the Food and Water system might be sligtly off a bit?
It just seems that the amount of time between having to eat and drink is a little long. In game time, it only seems that I roughly only have to eat and take a drink once a day or so. For instance, If one travels halfway acrosss Mistone they should have to grab their canteen more then a few times and maybe have a meal on the way. I also think (dont know if this can be coded or not?) but the more you run and do battle, the faster you become parched and hungry. Your character is burning much energy and losing hydration as they travel and fight foes over long distances and many miles.
Although this is a very minor issue...I feel it might add just a bit more realism to the Food and Water system and have it basically require for a player to have to eat a meal at least three times in a game day (more if very active and fighting foes) and drinking should be somewhere equal to maybe a full canteen of water in a game day...(more so if running around a lot).

:p if someone traveled across Mistone, it should take them at least 20 x more time than it does now.
I'm not sure if I'm just psycho.. but when it says someone helsp you are dying of thirst.. you should die of thirst :p

The food and drink systems are less about realism and more about RP. We want the world to be believable, as far as fantasy worlds go, but not necessarily "realistic," where "realism" is defined as a style applied to fiction and gaming.
In fact, it used to be that you had to eat and drink IG a lot more often, and the food did even less to quench a person's appetite than it does now. We changed it because the effect was more annoying/distracting than it was useful in establishing a "suspension of disbelief."
I hope that makes sense. If not, I suspect Dorg or Darkstorme (or even Carillon) may be able to better explain the move away from more frequent requirements for PCs to eat and drink.

Thanks, yes I understand it. I kinda thought that it might have been different in the earlier years.

Yep, pretty much what milty said.
