Anyone know of any good RP based NWN2 persistent worlds?
-
Nope, sorry. I play a fantastic nwn persistent world though. It's called Layo 8)
-
:)
I know, but it just seems there are fewer and fewer of us these days.
-
During the day (north american day that is, edt to pst) it can be a bit desertic on the server, but about this time. it's not rare that I see 15-25 people on. I think if there was more plot related quests going on to push the plot further, it would really help keep the player interested. But at the same time there is something called RL, really hard to fight against that.

I gave NWN2 a good try before...I dont know...maybe its just me..but IMO thought it was a flop.
Layo makes NWN into the game it wished it could be ;)
-
Respectfully, I feel that it is poor manners to be discussing servers that are similar enough to Layo that they could be considered in competition - not all games (http://forums.layonara.com/general-discussion/269802-where-ive-been.html) fall into this category, but it does a disservice to the community to be soliciting RP-based servers forthe sequel to the game layonara currently uses.

I don't care for NWN2 that much (nicer graphics, but I don't like control scheme), but check your PM's, jade.
-
I just do not like NWN2. Something about the feel of game play just never sits right with me. Looks nice though.

I tried a persistent NWN2 world about two years ago. The transitions were far too frequent due to the massive content required(take a layo map and put 3-4 transitions for the same area) and murder on my aging computer. I wouldn't recommend them. *shrugs*

Certainly didn't mean to touch a nerve here. Was just looking for something like Layo that could challenge my new i5 hardware. I've heard NWN2 is very demanding. Layo is still my #1.
Thanks everyone.

It's demanding not because of the graphics, but because of the memory leaks. The graphics are not that heavy compared to games like Crysis, x3, splinter cell double agent and all. I personally don't like the graphics of that game. The grass, trees and houses seems drawn with coloring pencils. It's almost as if they lack definition, and I've been playing it on full graphics.

I always rather liked th eye candy in NWN2, but I never quite liked the feel of the game play.
What I think is telling is when you look online the original NWN persistent worlds have a higher number of players online than I see for NWN2... which I think speaks for itself.
