On the LORE page for [lore]Unlimited Ammunition Training[/lore], it states, "Only Hickory and Mahogany shafted arrows/bolts can be used for bows (Oak and Yew shafted arrows cannot be used for unlimited arrow training)." Is this meant to be Hickory and Oak, not Hickory and Mahogany?
If the page is correct, I do not really understand why oak shafted arrows are omitted.
Really cool system by the way. Kudos to whomever invented it.

It is hickory and mahogany.
It is based on the number of different items made in the palette which is already too full. Each unlimited bow takes a slot. So... to balance the system and still allow the creation of the bows, oak (1d4) and yew (1d8) arrows are not available, just hickory (1d2? or +1?) and mahog (1d6).

So Hickory for the lower level folks and mahogany for the higher level ones?
My other question is whether or not arrow with added enhancements can be trained or not?
-
No, they can not.
However, on the flip side, one enhancement rod now has 10 uses for arrows. So you must choose. do you want to be able to use a variety, or just one kind of arrow?
-
As far as I can remember if you place a stack of arrows into the arrow slot in your inventory, the trained bow uses those arrows, no?
-
No. When you use an Unlimited Bow .. it will kick out whatever arrows/bolts you have in your slot.

You know what would be awesome?
Unlimited axes for those who throw them. Even if the unlimited stack weighted a couple of hundred pounds.... Though imagine how many axes you would have to craft carry and throw to get there....
Voraxian Axe thrower are back in fashion!

I love that idea... I was going to go axe-thrower with Amgine (and for the first few levels of his lifespan did) but ended up ditching the idea because the throwing axes weigh too much to carry in bulk...
However, that said, if I recall rightly they only weigh about 2 lbs. each, which in reality would be about the right weight for a throwing axe. So, perhaps our idea of how to use them is what really needs changing? I mean, we're all used to the idea that a character can carry an unreallistic infinite supply of arrows/bolts (which they really shouldn't be able to do if we're being realistic, I'd say 100-200 tops), but how long would a realistic supply of arrows really last on those long sprees through the Deep or whatnot? Granted, a character ought to be able to retrieve their throwing axes in most cases, as axes are made a whole lot more sturdy than arrows, and even a good portion of arrows ought to be retrieveable in reality. If an 'unlimitted' throwing axe was possible, we'd only need adjust our imagining that instead of having an infinite stack of axes, our characters simply carried a few that were picked up from where they landed after the fight.
It might be more accurate from a mechanical aspect to have a 40-50 lb. item that repressented a character's supply of throwing axes, and used one of 20 'charges' each time an axe was thrown, and which could be 're-charged' freely outside of combat, to simulate the retrieval of the thrown axes. Something like that probably can't be done with NWN's limitations though.
So much for my ramble...

Throwing axes are 1lbs per axe as far as I remember.
But that aside, I would too love a throwing axe of infinite supply!
Görm throws them and makes them for himself, and also adds frost coating to them for an added punch.
What would be really really sweet, would be a throwing axe (a singular 1lbs axe) with possibly added weight %, and unlimited ammo on it (if it's possible).
The axe would be a powerful weapon, so I'd recommend making it with hard to get and make supplies to craft one, perhaps high end gems and essences and whatnot, make the crafting % as hard as mithril weapons and it's metal to be +2 with say... 8 adamantium ingots which is the same as a waraxe of addy takes.

Throwing axes don't currently have the ability to have the "Unlimited Ammo" property like bows, slings and crossbows.
