Title: Hide in Plain Sight (Wilderness Only)

At level 21 the ranger get's this feat. At the risk of asking a stupid question, what is wilderness? How would I know my character was in it?

I believe that it is just how the area is tagged in the module - it must be outdoor and natural.

If you are unsure about a particular area, since Rangers have [lore]Trackless Step[/lore] you should be able to make a hide check, and see whether the wilderness bonus is applied to check.

Typically it is all outdoors surface areas that are not attached to a city.  So Spider Cave? No. Wayfare? no.  Outside of Hempstead? No.  the path between Hempstead and Vehl? yes.

Of course always check as Ycleption mentioned, and report any areas that seem mis-tagged to bug reports.
