Hello,
I'm trying to create an area (in the Toolset obviously) with some Light casting placeables. Unfortunately, they doesn't actually cast any light by default (except for a very few).
Is there a way to geet those placeable to cast a light in the area (and to adapt the illumination radius), thus illuminating said area?
Thinking here of adding hanging Chandelier, Torches, etc...
Thanks

There are certain placeables from the CEP set (some of which we employ, as I recall) that cast light when "activated".
Other than that, the only solution I've come across is to use an object, invisible or otherwise, with an onSpawn script that applies a permanent Light effect to it. The radius of the effect is fixed, dependent on the type of effect.
What most people do, however, if they don't need the light to be coming from the object itself, is to simply alter the lighting of the tile on which the placeable light source rests.
Cheers!

Yep, I find out that altering the lighing of the tile does indeed the trick.
And in this case it's much better than adding other placeables, since it needs to be as clean an area as possible when it comes to placeables (Layo Guild Hall).
Thanks

Actually, you can set an area to be "torch lit only" and some of the torches you place actually do cast a light and shadow, and even flicker a bit. Stygian's house is actually an example of this. The ones I used were torch brackets, but I'm not sure if it's something you have in your set or not. If you don't have it, I would be happy to add them for you.

Failing that, you can play with tile lighting. It's static and somewhat ambient, but you can get the impression that a placed torch is casting light in the area, for example.
Also, source lights in tiles (wall sconces and things that are part of the tileset) will generally cast some light according to what tile you set.

*points up at his earlier post* ;)
