So I was wondering, "Is there any sort of folklore about the Moons?"
We have Orn and Ausir up in [LORE]The Night Sky[/LORE], and Plot quests have referred to Orn's and Ausir's Tears. The Red Moon Event (something from the Bloodstone Plot) makes magic on Layonara more powerful, and one cute lullaby. But is there more? I'm sure it came up somewhere about Werewolves and the moons.
I'm curious because I'm wondering if there is any IC rationale for a character to believe the Moons have some sort of power that could be tapped into. Perhaps not directly but... who knows. Folk lore, ol' wive's tales, Mythology. Do the Aragenite's even have anything? any gnomes pointing a telescope at it? Any Layo Galileo's or da Vinci's?

There undoubtedly is folklore about the moons, and it varies from region to region. Just like on earth, books could be written covering the various culture's mythology surrounding Layo's moons. Whether those books have actually been written on Layo are a different question, but if you want your character to have some particular belief about the moons, as long as you realize it would be just that, a character's IC belief and not something "real" about the moons, then it doesn't matter if your character believes the moons are made of, I don't know.... silver cheese? ;)

I don't have anything else, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be, there would. So, if you want folklore, write it and submit it on the Writer's forum, you're on the writing team after all ;)

Jaelle Thornwood told a pretty amazing origin [POST=1563952]tale[/POST] of Orn and Ausir; not sure if this is what you mean by "folklore".
Hope this helps.
