Description: after the update the pick pocket system seems to have been disabled, I tried running over the area to trigger a theft but nothing happens.
Oddly enough then when I use my rod and disable the system then I will get the server message "You look about and see Lor guardsmen patrolling the area. It would be hard to perpetrate any crime here!"
So its only the pick pocket side of the system, and not the cure that seems to be bugged.
Location:Lor, Central Server
Verified: -
Reproducable: tested it on two resets, same result

It's been quite a long time since I've looked at this system, and I didn't do anything specifically to enable/disable/remove the pickpocket system, which of course doesn't rule out the possibility of a mistake.
Have have you talked to or heard from someone of significantly lower level than Angela? If memory serves, there are level-based and/or skill-based checks in place for the pickpocket, and I think it's possible to see no message at all if the checks are exceeded. Again, it's been a while (and I can't check it right now).

I know it has been a long time since I received any alerts relating to the pick pocket system in Lor. I know I have walked over the area that triggers it, and all of my character are signifigantly lower in level than Angela. Hope that helps.

Can you define "a long time" in this case?
And yes, it helps. Thanks!

Had my coins stolen about a month ago.

I'll ask Hayley to verify whether or not she's been pick-pocket lately. She gets so irritated each time she goes through Lor; her coins stolen twice, usually around 100-200 trues.. nothing more. She thinks it has to do with Spot Check, since she lacks that skill. Learning from those mistakes, she rarely has coins on her when she's around Lor. ;) I'll have her test it out tonight.

Filatus/Hardraghs theft was prior to the update, and yes the system is skill based.
I never lost the coin with Angela, I would however still get a server message along the lines of "your eyes catch a young cutpurse, you subtly shake your head and he moves along"

Thank you for the offer :) but the system won't be enabled again, before the server is reset.

In this case, a long time is likely 5 months ago. So not really long, but long before the last big update.

I got picked the other day for over 1000. Seriously, shouldn't there be a limit on this? 1000 for a level 9 character is a little out of control.

I most simply have been truly unlucky with finding the trigger points (on both tries), this request can be withdrawn and sorry for inconvenience. About the limits then I have no idea how it is set up, and I'll leave that for Dorg to answer

I'm home now so I'll check on this to be sure nothing got inadvertently disabled.

OK, I didn't see any problems, but that doesn't mean there can't be some kind of hiccup now and then where the triggers don't fire for whatever reason. I did tweak the code just slightly to eliminate the slim, slim chance of a possible race condition, but that's really no more than speculation.
Also, the chance of being pick-pocketed is 10% (assuming Angela hasn't called in the guards, of course) each time you cross one of the triggers, but you can't be picked or attempted more than once each RL day.
Also, the pickpocketing takes up to 20% of the gold you have on hand. And just because you're especially lucky, osX, the amount it will take is clamped to a maximum of 1000 True.
And yes, there is a safe path through Lor without chance of being pick-pocketed.

Okay. Hayley just ran pass Lor invisible.. and she still got pick-pocket, 57 trues. She was yelling, "What the heck?! Do these thieves have true seeing or see invisibility?!" Hahaha... thought I'd share; that made me laughed. :D Pick-pocket is up and runing again!
