//Over the last few 10 months of the war the following has occured in sequential order. Some of course have taken more time than others to complete but this is the general state of play and order of events.
The Blackford War Council implodes then reforms without Moraken to continue the role it was formed for,
Sederra has negotiated an alliance with Rael and Sucession and now faces destruction or being saved by accumulated forces on Dreger,
the Cult fleet bears down on Audiria,
two dragons keep Sederra locked down,
allied forces are busy sailing to Alhon and then marching to battle lines drawn up by the Blackford council and those on the ground in Hilm itself including Sir Lance and Lord Alexander,
Nesar has thrown off the shackles of the Cult with the help of the Corathites and Pyrtechonites,
PC forces seek the location of the Broken One,
the Cult Army in Vilsa with Cyn Chen marches on Nith,
a small Cult force drawn from those that marched on Sundance march towards Fort Miritrix,
the Sederran navy that left Audiria are smashed before even reaching the Cult fleet,
Cult forces secure southern Hilm and move towards the Fort of Last Hope from Sundance and Briardusk,
A very large Cult army has reached the border with Hilm having marched from Swarm lake and rumours are that Molvaren has been seen in this army.
A secondary Cult Army being led by Commander of the Drachs, Jaedan Siphe have marched from Briardusk towards Hilm Castle slowly so they can secure the lands north of Fort of Last Hope. Running battles have been occuring constantly with forces deployed from Hilm Castle to slow these advancing forces down. Heavy casualties have been taken on both sides but the allies have steadily lost ground to this army as it advances north.
Hilm castle has been preparing for the inevitability that they will be under seige within a few months by Cult armies from Swarm lake and those advancing northwards from Sundance.
Fort of Last Hope has also been preparing for Seige as Cult armies form the south secure southern Hilm and armies form Briardusk begin to cut off supply from all avenues except through the moutains to the east. This avenue only possible due to agreements made with the Shindalerians to guide supply ships through the reefs to shore near this location.
At the end of ten months;
Fort of Last Hope is about to beseiged (within the week),
Nith about to be attacked (within two weeks),
Fort Miritrix about to be attacked (within the month),
Audiria about to be attacked by a Cult fleet (within two weeks)
Castle Hilm about to be advanced on (over next 2 months)
A PC led assault on a place within Kuhl will be undertaken (2-3 months away)
// Please note time on layo for all intents and purposes of the PLot has slowed somewhat and may be out of sync with different events. This post is to try and give you some perspective on the time lines as they are ongoing. Any questions or things you feel should be added please PM me. As we move into the final stages time will slow even more in an ooc sense otherwise things don't make a lot of sense in the overall scheme of the war going on, if you know what I mean!
-
Adjusted times from above due to PC donations and actions:
Fort of Last Hope is about to beseiged (three weeks into the Sederra conflict),
Nith about to be attacked (three weeks into the Sederra conflict),
Fort Miritrix about to be attacked (three weeks into the Sederra conflict),
Audiria about to be attacked by a Cult fleet (Done)
Castle Hilm about to be advanced on (over next 3-4 months - Cult held up in other areas)
A PC led assault on a place within Kuhl will be undertaken (3-4 months away)
// Sederra conflict takes finishes up approximately 6 weeks after the initial two weeks indicated above for the fleet to arrive.
-
A PC led assault on a place within Kuhl will be undertaken (3-4 months away)
:) so looking forward to this

So, three weeks into the six week Sedera Defense(1 (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17852&day=2011-3-6&c=3), 2 (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17865&day=2011-3-14&c=3), 3 (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17874&day=2011-3-20&c=3)), Fort of Last Hope, Fort Miritrix, and Nith are first attacked (?).
Therefore, characters who participated in the Sedera Defense would not be available to participate in the defense of the Forts(1) until at least three weeks after the Forts(1) are first attacked (assuming some sort of instantaneous transport from Audira to one of the Forts(1)) (?).
When does the Assassins (Plot) (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17881&day=2011-4-3&c=3) event take place in that time line? :p
(1) plus Nith

1/ Cult troops will secure south of Fort of Last Hope and prepare to lay seige to the Fort once the Cult forces from Vilsna and Sundance prepare to hit Fort Miritrix and Nith. This is week 4 of the Sederra Conflict.
2/ Characters who participated in the Sederra conflict in the final weeks may participate in Assasins because it takes place in the week leading up to the Cult armies arriving at Nith and Fort Miritrix. ie Week 3 of the Sederra Conflict.
3/ Characters involved in the final two weeks of the Sederra Conflict will not be able to participate in the first two weeks of actual combat in Nesar or Fort of Last Hope. As these coincide.
4/ After the Assasins quest another quest will resume after the first two weeks of the Nesar conflict and as such at the end of the Sederra conflict so PC's can transport across with whatever means to join the battle on the side of the Corathites and Black Wizards in Nesar or at Fort of Last Hope...if they can get into the city.
Hopefully this helps a bit.

Mister Lister gonna die! Grovel do happy dance on his slimy corpse!
-
//going to have to duck out of the Nith quest today, upon re-reading there is no way Andrew could have made it as he was at Xora's tower during that time supporting Elly (since Nith predates the end of the Sederan conflict).
gl all!
-
//for clarification please to help me understand this:
3/ Characters involved in the final two weeks of the Sederra Conflict will not be able to participate in the first two weeks of actual combat in Nesar or Fort of Last Hope. As these coincide.
This means that if you had a character in the final of Sedera, that character may not participate in Nesar (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17885&day=2011-4-13&c=3) or Hope (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17887&day=2011-4-18&c=3) because all three coincide. It also means that if you bring a different character to Hope they can not participate in Nesar, because they coincide; and viceversa. Correct?
4/ After the Assasins quest another quest will resume after the first two weeks of the Nesar conflict and as such at the end of the Sederra conflict so PC's can transport across with whatever means to join the battle on the side of the Corathites and Black Wizards in Nesar or at Fort of Last Hope...if they can get into the city.
So, based on this post, I'm pretty sure that after the initial Nesar and Hope quests that our Sedera characters will be able to get involved again?
I have some other questions/concerns about future involvments and will our characters get "locked" into a certain conflict...but I guess those will get worked out depending on the results of our actions.
Thanks for any help on this and sorry for being a bit slow-on-the-uptake :)

Milty and I are trying to develop a visual timeline that, once vetted, will be posted in here. Hopefully that will make it clear.
-
Thanks for the chart Milt.
Reading it then, no one who was involved in the Sederan actions through to the end of the last quest (Ori removal) can be involved in the Nesar and Fort Hope actions currently on the calendar. Correct?
-
Yes they can because these till take place 2 weeks into the combat at Fort Miritrix and Nesar. ie right after the very end of the Sederra conflict

Sorry but I'm still confused. First it's said that Sederra characters can't participate in the initial fighting at Hope and Nesar, as written here:

So, could you please help me understand this pretty please?
I also want to know if a character that participates in Nesar, can also participate in Hope? Or are those quests at the same time, so same characters can't do both?
And it looks like the Sederra characters will be given a chance to join either the Hope or Nesar if there is a second/later quest calandared for those areas?
Thanks for the help,
Davidhoff

Sorry if it seems confusing...
But in reviewing my notes you've highlighted a miscalculation on my part.
My quest for Nesar is supposed to take place two weeks after the Cult army arrives outside Nith and Fort Miritrix. This coincides with the end of the Sederra conflict.
What I forgot to account for was the Assasins quest and where this fits into the timeframe so I think this is where the confusion has stemmed from.
So in order to help it all make sense lets assume this:
The Sederran conflict went for approximately 6 weeks once it really got started. At the 3 week mark the Black Wizard asked for help to get Nith under control (Assasins quest) Adventureres then moved back to Sederra to finish up there.
At the 4 week mark things got hot in Sederra and the adventurers joined in for the next two weeks.
At the 4 week mark (As adventurers appeared in Sederra officially) Nith and Fort Miritrix are attacked and a fairly large army approaches Fort of Last Hope with the intention to lay seige to it. (Postings not far away for these)
At the end of week six, adventurers are released from Sederra and can participate in actions against Nith, Fort Miritrix or Fort of Last Hope respectively if they can reach them (and we are giving you some leeway in the ability to reach these places respectively).
What has confused this a bit is the Assassins quest I ran which took place
-
So in the timeline laid out above we should shift the attack on Fort of Last Hope, Nith and Fort Miritrix back one week? Is the assassins quest in the proper place?
-
Based on my reading of the events it seems the assasins plot should be moved back on the timeline two weeks to week three of the Sederran conflict as such:
Week (1)- Conflict starts in Sedarra
Week (2)- Combat begins in the sea near Audira
Week (3)-Adventurers help erradicate the drach assasins in Nith at the request of the black wizards.
Week (4)-Adventurers appear back in Sedarra.
- large vial of drach poison siezed by adventurers south of Audira
- Nith and Miritrix attacked by the Cult forces
- Cult armies prepare to lay seige against Fort of Last Hope
Week (5)-Adventurers offload the poison vat to large Eagles summoned by the Birdlord and its escorted to Xora by the Longstorm
- The leader of the Sands of Fate is killed by adventurers near an oasis in the Sedarran desert
Week (6)-Adventurers are victorious in Audira and conflict there ends.
-Adventurers are free to leave after week six from Audira and join the ongoing fight for Miritrix, Nith or Hope.
-
That is where it appears. There is two weeks of quiet after the ten months of activity that Dezza outlined. So the action in Audira starts in week 3 on the timeline and continues through to the end of week 8. So we have the Assassin hunting happening in week 5, which is the 3rd week of the Audira action.
-
Timeline above is updated.
-
At the end of week six, adventurers are released from Sederra and can participate in actions against Nith, Fort Miritrix or Fort of Last Hope respectively if they can reach them (and we are giving you some leeway in the ability to reach these places respectively).
It sounds like On the Nesar Frontier (Plot) (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17885&day=2011-4-13&c=3) and Fort of Last Hope - The Seige Begins (Plot) (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17887&day=2011-4-18&c=3) are exclusive; that is, a character can attend one of these events, but not both.
Sorry Nith...
-
You might just have to show up to see what happens....Only 3 PC's have approached me at this time with any actions for Nesar. And only 1 for Fort of Last Hope.
-
Sorry. Suggested courses of action:
Fort of Last Hope: Kill the Cultists.
Nith: Kill the Cultists, kill the Ravens, kill the Black Wizards.
;)
-
Daniella is holding down the fort in Hilm... possibly quite literally.
Viper took the bindstone express last time (Assassins) because I had to log because of my kids. Is she allowed to catch back up, or am I out for this session?
-
As the next few weeks in Hilm, Nesar happen simultaneously as Sederra, DB is otherwise occupied with the final battles in sederra. Good luck to the rest of you.

To CB: My understanding is that all characters who participated in Sedera are free to join the plot quests scheduled for Nith or Hope because these take place after Sedera is over.
To Viper: My understanding is the Assains quest was at week three and then we were allowed to return to Sedera. Sedera ends at week six and we are then free to participate in Hope or Nesar.

I believe "On the Nesar Frontier" is the direct continuation of "Assassins".
-
I personally wouldn't call Nesar a "direct" continuation of Assassins, because Assassins takes place at week 3 and Nesar takes place at week 6. Adventuers at Assassins were allowed to return to Sedera after the job was done. Also, Assassins was more of a quick-strike to weed-out some Tesak's, whereas Nesar seems to be more of drawn-out battle front.
Please also see Dezza's post where its explained that characters at week-three Assassins were free to return to Sedera, and after Sedera can travel to Nesar to fight there:

Oh subjectivity! I thought this installment was directly following "Assassins" you think it is three weeks after. The description says nothing either way. I dont know what to think now!

I see where CB is comming from, Daniel is one of the generals in Sederra, he is not an -adventurer- and if you see the timeline posted by Milty, the cult army in Sederra got defeated till the eight week, The army needs their generals to determine the final victory over them. Its not like daniel will throw away his responsabilities isn't it?

- Dezza's post
My understanding of the timeline may be flawed..but as the fight opens in Nith, Miritrix, and Fort of Last Hope in earnest, the fighting is underway in Sederra as well for another two weeks at a minimum. Can't be in two places at once. ;) Daniel wouldn't leave his post until all was in order.

requesting an updated timeline with the Nesar/Nith/Miratrix, Fort Hope, and Xora/Elly/Jennara actions included.
Thanks!
