Title: Counterspelling?
Post by: Teo on April 11, 2011, 11:09:32 PM
I have just dusted off an old wizard I used to play, and decided to try out the whole, 'counterspelling' thing. I have found the icon in the quick slots, but am unable to select it to quickslot the feature. I've also searched Lore, but am unable to find anything on the ability. Do you have to take some sort of feat to get counterspelling? And what exactly does it do?

Thanks,
Teo

//If you're interested, my character could use some practice counterspelling too. Perhaps we can RP a friendly session in the Vehl Arena?

I'd say the best spells for counterspelling are those of Adjuration, or in Harry Potter terms, "Defense against the Dark Art." (:D had to say it)

Adjuration deals in both defensive spells (protection from magical and physical attacks, plus resistance buffs) and dispelling magic (Despel, Spell breach and disjunction)

Anyways, never really figured out the counterspelling skill thing but do know Adjuration is the major in countering spells. :)
